One minute of peace. I just wanted to share the moment with you. I hope you’re able to rest, take it in. See a little beauty. Be with your own thoughts. Escape your own thoughts. Whatever you need to do. Just take the minute. We all need a minute sometimes.

Hey I’m not sure if I’ve ever properly introduced myself on here because I usually only connect with folks I know. So here we are.

I’m Shelly Eve Moore. My middle name came from my grandmother on my mom’s side. Her name was Evelyn. She was a painter (and an amazing elephant cookie maker). As it turned out, I became an artist as well, so for my visual art I’ve always used my first and middle name, in honor of her. For my music, I’ve gone with my first and last name to provide a touch of separation between the two art forms.

My first love is Jesus. I am a grateful recipient of His love, redemption, shepherding, counsel, correction, and mercy.
My entire aim is to know Him, glorify Him, and enjoy Him forever. Seeing life through the lens of His love changes everything.

I love the sunshine, hiking, swimming, tennis, sunsets, sunrises, lattes, laughter, connection, great food, windy days, my family, and true friends. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to be as active as I like to be, but I’m getting back to it and I can’t wait to get outside more. I love all the seasons but my favorite times of year are usually the two weeks of transition between each season, when you feel the shift in the air and the anticipation of what’s to come. It’s the best!

Selfie taken at @westlightstudios - with my crazy curly hair. The lighting is always kind in a photo studio. Grateful to have a space to connect here. I hope you guys have a wonderful day! by @shellyeve

What love could remember no wrongs we have done.
Omniscient, all-knowing, He counts not the sum.
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore.
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.
Praise the Lord. His mercy is more.
Stronger than darkness, New every morn.
Our sins they are many His mercy is more.

For this album we did several writing nights with our friends @writesnbitessongs! Songwriters split into groups of three over 3 nights and wrote for the “Higher Name” Album. We ended up cutting 6 songs from these sessions.

@kolbykoloff @shellyeve & @coletague came up with this fun melody and lyric about rising up because of the hope we have in Jesus! They were kind enough to let @officialtoddsmith come in later and help them finish the song.

It’s up for Inspirational Song of the Year for the @gmadoveawards! It’s the first nomination for Kolby, Shelly, and Cole and @writesnbitessongs so it makes it extra special! Thank you guys for writing such an amazing song!
