Your love confused my perspective. I thought this kind of love was only in the movies or what I read about in a novel.

Your love is so pure, so meaningful, so needed, and simply enough. God gave me a gift and light in you—someone that values me and who isn't afraid of my dark.

Thankful is too small of a word, too overused, to truly share the sentiments of my heart. You are my constant reminder that God knows my name.

You're the person I want to celebrate with on top of the mountain, and the one I want to stay connected and move forward with in the valley.

You're my hallelujah. My peace. My harness. My protector.

Surely this has to be a taste of God's promise when he stated he'd give me beauty for ashes. My vow still stands: you weren't the first to marry me, but you'll surely be the last.

Here's to 3 years of love on mars. ❤️‍🔥💌🥰👩🏿‍❤️‍👨🏿🥹🧁🥂🎉 by @shemadeyalook

2026 reminders:

• Sustainability is sexy
• Capacity matters more than a hustle mentality
• Boundaries are standard, not optional
• Rest is holy
• Less of me and more of God

11-25 🎂 | Two words that come to mind that can perfectly describe this birthday: grateful + rich. God is so, so kind to me, and for this I am eternally indebted.

As a token of my appreciation for your support, we are starting Black Friday early! 🥳 Buy one sweatshirt, get one 1/2 off!

Wedding story #1 (caption continued in comments): Listen, I had prepared a list of items, the night before, that I not only needed for our big day but as well as my children and the groom. I packed everything on my list and checked it twice. When Shamir and Noah came by the house to gather their things and stay with one of his groomsmen (yes we were legally married before December 9 for the ones who may be wondering if we were shacking) I specifically asked him if he had MY ring. “Yes, I grabbed everything babe.” Bet.

Fast forward to the moment I’m in the dressing room in my dress preparing for the ceremony to start just to hear, “who has the brides ring?!” 😳 Whaaa??! I simply responded to the wedding coordinator that Shamir or his best man should have my ring because Shamir told me he grabbed it. Welp, unfortunately he didn’t.

Surprisingly, I wasn’t livid. Surprisingly. All I remember is three of my bridesmaids offering me their wedding ring to wear during the ceremony (how considerate?!), but of course I couldn’t fit NAN one. Sigh. Now I’m kind of bothered. Everyone literally went into troubleshoot mode. “Do you know the last place the ring was left?” “Is it inside the ring box?” “Is the wedding band attached?” “Do we have time for someone to run to your place?” By this time, we have 25 minutes before the wedding. Thankfully we live approximately 7-8 minutes away from the venue; however, there and back would be about 16 minutes leaving us 9 minutes to spare….God forbid, without any defaults, accidents, etc.

When I say two of my bridesmaids risked it all to make sure I had my wedding ring in a timely manner (legal disclaimer: nothing illegal transpired in reference to “risked it all” because whew…🤭)leaving us abooouuut... I won’t state the minutes left. lol It was the most selfless and heart-felt act for me and truly one of the kindest memories I’ll never forget. by @shemadeyalook

merry + bright

A few things that have become a tradition for our family on Christmas day:
-Praying before we start the day
-Playing Monopoly…our way. 😂
-Playing Uno…our way 🤷🏿‍♀️
-Gots to watch This Christmas
-Listening to black ole school music
-Eating German pickles and candy (the children’s grandma tradition)
-Checking each other and using the best joke all through out the new year. 😂

May you enjoy every moment with your family and remember that Jesus really is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas! ❤️
