The illusion of control.

Empty hands bring comfort. Comfort can bring complacency. Complacency can kill.

LEOKA stats have shown that attacks happen so fast that 64% of officers were unable to even fire their weapon before being killed. With the average retention draw occuring in 1.5 seconds, this means the attack was likely completed within that time period. Can you fire an accurate round or gain physical control in less than 1.5 seconds?

Not every situation can be won. However, in many cases it is possible to minimize the poor decisions that led to the unwinnable situation.

How can we reduce the disadvantage of going second without turning every person into an enemy force?

It happens quick.

There will never be even odds when you have to go second in most confrontations. The only way to reduce the pain of this truth is to train with urgency, even if the standards don't follow suit.

A great goal is to try to half the times that are alloted for qualifications and exceed the standard so you have done your part in protecting yourself and others if need be.

Get training and get fast!

This is about covering and the actual capability to save a life when playing on the losing end of the action / reaction death race in that worst case scenario. We're not sure what to say about the data other than that it's repeatable and it's been happening in FoF enough to look at the numbers here. It appears that it isn't possible to truly cover and stop the shot from being taken if the bad guy is committed to making it happen.

Let us know what you think about this 🤔

We're working through a dozen "ready" positions to determine which methods take the most time to bring the rifle into a mounted position for an accurate shot.

The mount itself is something that we need to be cognizant of in dryfire to ensure that it is sturdy, repeatable, and is bringing us the optimal results in terms of tracking for follow-up rounds when we go live.

What is your go-to ready position and why?

Please drop a comment below and I look forward to jumping in on the discussion!

No shoes in the bouncy castle!

In this installment, the alliance of fathers use a really good smoke screen to perform a flanking maneuver from higher ground to get the win.
