🤎Sharing the other McKee glass pieces with the sail boat pattern. The real story is the wood box the glassware is sitting on. Short story- I was looking at a similar piece with my husband when an individual came and pulled the tag off and ran to the counter and paid for it. We were astounded and left empty handed. Next week on a lousy weather day we went out of town on a whim. I went one direction and he the other. I never saw this piece-but he did! Sunday morning greetings✨ Every once in a while, I'm able to catch the sunlight hitting just right. This capture is light reflecting through borosilicate glass bowls- made by McKee glass 1930s. Showing up for another #creamersanonymous meeting and boy do I need it! I restyled my shelf and went creamer crazy. This capture shows my favorite of the four on the shelf. Monday Greetings! Most of us struggle with after holiday decor. I still have a good bit of nautical themed pieces displayed but wanted to work in these recent finds so I could enjoy them yet this summer. I brought home this plaid beehive bowl from our drive to Highland Antique mall last week. I had seen this several times before- I think the chip prevented anyone from rehoming this stained beauty from the 1930s. Sunday Greetings Friends! Again, the narratives I write aren't posting- so I'll try again. This share is the top of my cabinet with all the plants. This snippet has a coastal vibe that makes me think of being around the water during many previous 4th of July celebrations. We have extreme heat warnings today so it's a great day to head to Highland, Indiana and play at Bass Pro and America's Antique Mall! Sharing more of the top of my cabinet. Happy Monday! The large German Zell Majolica plate was found about a month ago. It is embossed stamped and was a steal under $20. Sharing with the Ladies #frenchinspirationfriday this Czech lusterware sardine box. Early 1800s the French were instrumental in canning and preserving sardines. Tin cans, jars and crockery weren't the prettiest presentation on the dining table and that's how sardine boxes came about. The one in this picture dates to the 1920-30s time period. We all know of the love French have for moutarde, so for fun I've thrown in a mustard jar. Friday greetings! Sharing a few items for #frenchinspirationfriday Look for the french knott, antique abielle gold footed cup, limoges jug with rope and knott detail. The cup was found without the saucer and I feel lucky to have found it. A copycat version was made in Japan without the black enamel on the bees wings- which is one of the key details in identifying the piece and age. Best wishes for a great weekend. Today is our 50th wedding anniversary and a pretty neat milestone in our lives.
