Huge thank you to everyone who came to Couples Dance Date last night! 🙌 What a night, what a bunch, what a vibe! 🔥 Theres something really magic about seeing Couples connect through movement, let go & have a laugh ✨ Let’s do it all again in 27! 🔥 #couplesdancedate #dancetogether #whatsonbyron #whatsonbyronbay by @sher.manu
After its last date night, @sher.manu is bringing her couples dance class back to Byron Bay with an evening of partner dancing and drinks. The 90-minute session mixes disco, salsa and jazz-inspired partnering, designed to be fun and approachable even if neither of you has much idea what you’re doing. There’s a complimentary drink on arrival, plenty of guidance, and absolutely no need to arrive knowing how to dance. Leading the night is choreographer Sher Manu, who has more than 40 years in dance, with credits including So You Think You Can Dance Australia, Dancing with the Stars Australia, Cork Opera House and Bangalow Theatre Company productions. It’s happening on Saturday 17 October at Cape Performing Arts Studio in Byron Bay, with tickets at $85 per couple. So if your date-night rotation could use something beyond another table booking, this might be the one. #byronbay #byron #whatsonbyron #byronbayevents by @sher.manu

Dinner is great, but Byron’s latest date-night idea is making a pretty convincing case for doing something a little less predictable. On Saturday 22 August, choreographer @sher.manu and Rees Laird are taking over Cape Performing Arts Studio for a 90-minute couples dance class built around connection, fun and learning a few moves together. The session brings together a fusion of disco, salsa and jazz partnering moves, with a complimentary drink on arrival to loosen things up before hitting the floor. No dance experience is needed, it’s specifically designed to be approachable for complete beginners. And you’re in fairly safe hands. Sher has more than 40 years in dance, with choreography credits spanning So You Think You Can Dance Australia, Dancing with the Stars Australia, Cork Opera House and several Bangalow Theatre Company productions. It all happens from 6–7.30pm at Cape Performing Arts Studio in Byron Bay, with tickets at $75 per couple. If your usual Saturday night has become a little too dinner-and-drinks on repeat, consider this your excuse to change it up. Paid partnership. #byronbay #byron #byronbaylife #whatsonbyron by @sher.manu
