✨My favorite kind of books are the ones I can learn from ⁣
⁣
✨ Sidebar: When reading a heavier read I have to read another lighter book subsequently ⁣

E-V-E! 🐾⁣
⁣
The trailblazer, the mom, the wife, the illest pitbull in a skirt, the actress, just the multifaceted artist, that is Eve. ⁣
⁣
Eve’s memoir is filled with many relatable experiences and obstacles. She burst into the rap game in the late 90s. A woman who not only could go toe to toe with her female peers but the men as well. She was so blessed to land herself a spot in one of the most talented rap crews EVER, Ruff Ryders. 🏍️ Gaining not only brothers but protectors, from DMX to LOX. ⁣
⁣
Eve was very vocal in the direction she wanted her career to go and what she wanted her music to sound like, different. That it was, she toyed with many genres and cultures within her music. Often proving the label wrong, earning herself a Grammy for Let Me Blow Your Mind. A song that the label didn’t think the masses would accept from her. ⁣
⁣
⁣
Eve constantly proved that you could never count her out. With her stand out features on songs like Hot Boyz, We Gonna Make It, Ruff Ryders Anthem Remix, My Chick Bad etc. ⁣
⁣
⁣
What I appreciated most about Eve, she didn’t hold back, revealing what her demons were in her younger years. She described how she navigated through them, mentioning stand out moments she took as signs she needed to pivot. ⁣
⁣
⁣
She accomplished so much in her 20s.⁣
From her platinum albums, awards, her own successful sitcom, big screen movies, clothing line to a talk show host. ⁣
⁣
Her memoir was a page turner and I highly recommend if you’re a fan that you get a copy! ⁣

It’s been six months since my last post. 🫣🫣⁣
Am I still welcomed here?😂⁣
⁣
Copped these two memoirs that dropped this month. The first from one of my favorite rappers, the Pitbull in a Skirt, Eve. Secondly, the glue of the culture, Wallo. Can’t wait to read and drop a review.

Writing and reading have always been my therapy. October isn’t the easiest month for me so I knew I had to approach it differently this year. Getting back into putting my pen to paper.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I picked up @theshelahmarie’s journal “Positive You” and not only does it hold you accountable, it embraces the beautiful side of growth. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I highly recommend this journal to any woman working towards a specific goal, going through a stressful time and or sadness.⁣⁣⁣
