It’s out today and I can finally share my artwork for the cover of the 20th anniversary edition of @dglifemag. This work began in April and the concept was the vision of editor, Andrea, who’s main inspiration was, of course, Peter Blake’s design for the cover of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles.

I was a bit apprehensive to illustrate some of the many wonderful people associated with our region but hopefully they’ll agree I’ve done them justice! It was an honour to recognise their achievements and represent our pride in their contributions to entertainment and our society; as well as some of the other attributes we have to our name as producers and cultural landmarks.

The designers have made a few changes as it’s gone to print but you can see the original artwork here and then get the magazine for a closer look!

(PS I would’ve loved to have had a Calvin Harris track backing this post but it must be that you don’t get access to the good music if you don’t have enough followers!! 🙈 so if you’re seeing this, gimme a follow) by @sherilennonstudio

I really enjoyed creating my entry for @libertylondon Advent Calendar 2027 design competition. From what I’ve seen, I might have been the only designer to move away from the previous form of the box but the brief didn’t say you had to stay within the same convention as previous years… I will always wonder if that was part of the reason I didn’t make the Final Cut. Anyway, if you want to see other designs that are fabulous and also didn’t make the final 3 you can look here on #unseencalendars by @sherilennonstudio

I had my first market stall as a freelancer this weekend and it went brilliantly! Really enjoyed the experience @stationroadfood market. Was lovely to chat to people and the atmosphere was great. There might be a bit more sunshine at the next one on the 18th July and that would be the icing on the cake!

I have a colouring book out now!! I’m very excited about the quality. There is no danger of pens bleeding through this paper. It’s so thick! I kinda want to colour one myself…. Might need to 😜
