All these years we were singing this Soca classic and NEVER knew the real story behind it 😂🔥

The Soca Queen Destra finally explains the meaning behind one of Trinidad & Tobago’s biggest Soca hits… and this changes EVERYTHING 😳🇹🇹

WHO ELSE DIDN’T KNOW THIS?! 👀👇🏼

This blew my mind 🤯 Ravi B can sing Hindi beautifully… but speaking it fluently is a whole different story. 🇹🇹🇮🇳

That’s what makes Trinidad’s Indian culture so fascinating. Generations later, the melodies, pronunciation, traditions and music are still alive through chutney and Bollywood influence.

Watch Ravi explain it himself 😂🔥

🇳🇱🇹🇹 Lost in Trinbago? More like FOUND in Trinbago! 🎶🌴

Ambassador @cor_hersbach and Deputy Lisette Blüm had a fun and engaging visit yesterday with @shermandevries one of the co-writers behind the soca track Lost in Trinbago, who was accompanied by @tyraels

It was a great opportunity to talk music, creativity and the special connections that continue to bring the Netherlands and Trinidad & Tobago together… sometimes in unexpected ways! 🇳🇱🤝🇹🇹

And when Dutch creativity meets Trini soca, maybe getting a little lost in Trinbago isn’t such a bad thing after all. 😉

Maybe you come to get Lost in Trinbago… but end up Found in Trinbago!😉🎶🇹🇹
