Last night we had the pleasure of playing the very first SheRocks Night @barkotelo and what a great night it was!

Huge thanks to Piritta Lumous Rock Band, Annabelle, and everyone who came to rock with us. 🖤

A year ago, I had an idea. Yesterday, I watched it become real. 🥹💜

The very first SheRocks Night is officially in the books and honestly, I’m still trying to process it.
What started as a little Instagram community has now become a real night, a real stage, and a room full of people coming together to celebrate rock, music and each other.

Three incredible bands.
Three different sounds and stories.
One stage. One community. 🤘

A huge thank you to @pirittalumousartist Rock Band and @annabellebandofficial for being part of this very first SheRocks Night and making the evening so special. 🖤

And thank you to everyone who came to support us yesterday. Seeing so many familiar faces in the crowd honestly meant more than you probably realise. 🥹💜

Thank you to @barkotelo for giving SheRocks a place to come to life, and to everyone who helped make this night happen behind the scenes.

It was about bringing women together, supporting each other and creating space for all of us to shine.
And yesterday, we did exactly that. 🥹

This is only the beginning.

A year ago, SheRocks was born as a community to connect, support and inspire women in rock and metal.

🎤 Artist Spotlight #6: @hanna_hysch

Meet Hanna Hysch! — a Finnish pop artist from Pirkanmaa. Her genre, “hyshys-pop,” is a powerful response to self-silencing, blending dreamy soundscapes with strong emotions. Her debut single Oo Hiljaa is a personal anthem to the harshest critics living in the mirror, and the follow-up Peili continues the journey: a luminous anthem asking us to shine without dimming others.💜
Hanna Hysch! is an alter ego that has also published two poetry collections — her way of processing and expressing what can’t be said aloud. Before becoming a solo artist, she played keys in several cover bands and did backing vocals for many years. The songwriting became the next chapter – and now Hanna Hysch! has found her voice.🤫

🎤 Artist Spotlight #5: @artist_johanna

✨ The Voice of Finnish Fance ✨

Meet Johanna Koskiniemi, an artist whose life has followed the rhythm of music since childhood.
She’s a singer, multi-instrumentalist (piano, trumpet, saxophone), and former music teacher who four years ago decided to follow her dream and step fully into her artistic path. 🌙

Johanna’s first singles were Finnish cover versions that gained wide attention and chart success — giving her the courage to search for her own sound. The result? Fance, short for Finnish Dance: a unique blend of melancholic Finnish lyrics, energetic dance beats, and a touch of nostalgic 90s flavor. 💫

She has since released three Fance tracks, all warmly received by listeners, and also begun collaborating with the pop-rock duo MATD. Together, they released three English-language songs — the latest, “Angels of Rock”, even made it to the UMK 2026 qualifiers.
That experience ignited something new in Johanna: a desire to explore a more rock-inspired, international sound and to bring it into her own music. 🔥

“I used to think rock only had room for a certain kind of voice — or for bands who spent years rehearsing in garages.
But the feedback from Angels of Rock made me realize how wrong I was. Maybe there’s space in rock for all kinds of voices and backgrounds. Often, your biggest obstacle is yourself. Never say never.”

Today, Johanna performs as a one-woman act, with her backing tracks and alto saxophone, but dreams of forming her own band.
Music is more than a hobby for her: it’s a way of life, a passion that keeps leading her toward new horizons. 💜
