Dutch Comic Con 2022 is one that I probably won't forget. Besides the amazing people I met that weekend I also managed to win the cosplay contest. People recognised me on the confloor as Sherolo and it's still a weird experience when someone knows you and you don't even know them.

Thank you @nomes_cosplay , @har_fie , @bemoreshonen and @yuji.hannah for taking the time to discuss for decades who would take the first prize and thank you for being such kind judges. I'd put all my money on the amazing @lelie.creative ❤️ with her incredibly detailed costume and act. It was a blast competing against you.

Unnecessary life story incomming:

Let me tell you a little story about this cosplay (mostly a note to my future self. Writing this down gives me the opportunity to read it back later when I need to hit myself in the face again :) ). I started this cosplay 2 years ago when I started my current study (mechatronics). My insecurities got the worst of me back then because I felt my abilities weren't good enough (looking back at it, that was some big bs). But I pushed myself to do something out of my comfort zone and bought a 3d printer. A little while ago I promised myself that if I ever bought one I'd make this armor. So I did. I started with the hardest part, in case I started doubting myself again. The headpiece took me some time to make (blood sweat and tears actually) but I was extremely proud of myself for finishing it.
This whole cosplay was a way for myself to PROVE that I was good at something, that I was able to make such a big armor all from scratch. It gave me the confidence to open my mouth in school project environment. It taught me patience and perseverance. It doesn't mean that I'm completely confident in my abilities, but this cosplay did give me the boost I needed to break the 'selfdoubt goggle'.

I think that was it for now. So if you are still reading, or else only for my future self when she needs a kick to the butt, stop doubting your abilities. Stop it! Just do it ✅

Love you guys❤️

Last week there was a Wheel of Time Auction. I was hyped and sad at the same time, the end of a beautiful series, but also the time to take a million screenshots of the costumes.
Sadly I wasn't able to get my hands on one of the pieces.

Still have these amazing outfits designed by the incredible @sharon_gilham_costume_design @michellechongcostume ✨ Made by me and photographed by @theoptimisticfilmmaker ♥️ together with my partner @stefantanis that I finally got to cosplay Rand and Elayne with me last year at Elfia.✨ by @sherolo

"But Now They See You As You Are."

Ever since I binge-watched the first season of House of the Dragon, I've been obsessed with cosplaying Rhaenyra. Making it happen with my best friend made it even more unforgettable.

So excited to bring back the Borderlands cosplays!!! Since I've only got to play the intro of the game I can't really say much about my experience, but up till this point I quite like it!!

Can't wait for the Witcher 4 release✨

Hoping onto that BL4 wagon after yesterday's State of Play. I'm very curious about the storyline. Tho I don't feel a strong connection (yet) with the characters they've showed in the game okay, I am excited to see wat BL4 has in store for us!!

Might take this cosplay out of the closet soon, stay tuned 👀

Last Elfia I got to wear my shadow stalwart again! I expected it to be very heavy on my body for the whole day but in the end it was very comfortable! Got to talk about HZD/HFW with so many amazing people and in the end I've had a blast. This Elfia was amazing and I'm glad for the people I've got to spend it with ❤️

Last year at Castlefest was the last time I wore Triss to a con. But I am planning to do a little Witcher group with the girlies on Arcen :) Really looking forward to is!
