But there’s something underneath all of it that rarely gets questioned.
After years behind the chair, patterns start to show up…

in hair, in skin, in hands, in results.
And it doesn’t always come down to what’s being used.

Sometimes it’s what everything is being used with.

There’s a point where you stop trying to do more…
and start seeing more.

You’ve built something with your hands, your time, your energy.

Long days. Full schedules. Taking care of everyone else.
And somewhere along the way… something shifts.

You start noticing what actually supports you and what doesn’t.

Life isn’t just about working.

It’s laughing with your people.
Getting outside.
Traveling when you can.
Enjoying the little things that make it all worth it.

That balance matters.

Lately, that curiosity led somewhere unexpected to something we’re around all day, but rarely question.

Water.

Not in a complicated way.
Just in a “this might matter more than we realized” kind of way.

So this space is a mix of both.

Real life. A little fun.
And a different way of looking at what’s been right in front of us all along.

PART 4

The Stage Was Only Half the Story.

Getting up on that stage was one thing. Walking into rooms, introducing myself to strangers, making connections, and doing things on my own? That was a whole different kind of growth.

Turns out, getting uncomfortable might have been the best part of the entire weekend.

And I'd do it all over again.

Sitting at the airport trying to process this weekend!

Incredible speakers, so many new connections, stepping WAY outside my comfort zone, speaking on stage, and even receiving an award!

Sometimes you can’t see something different for yourself because you’re so used to choosing what you’ve always chosen.

And sometimes it takes someone else saying, “Try this.”

Today it was a nail color. Tomorrow, who knows.

36 years behind the chair, and I'm learning that doing something different requires actually DOING something different.

I'm definitely outside my comfort zone, and apparently now that includes getting on a stage with a microphone in my hand.

I'm still learning, still growing, and I'm pretty excited to see where this new path takes me.

It's funny what you can mistake for security.

Being busy.
Being needed.
Having a full calendar.
Knowing exactly what tomorrow is going to look like.

Those things can feel safe.

And maybe real security is something different.

Maybe it's knowing that when life changes, you have choices. You have people. You have a life you've built that doesn't disappear when the plan does.

So I'm curious...
