When I started teaching, iPhones weren’t even in the room and at a PD they told us not to wear anything “distracting.”

When I started writing this webseries I was really writing to make myself laugh and cheer myself up! I could never imagine how far it went and I was so grateful for the family and friends who supported the whole process. Congrats to all the female filmmakers heading to Vegas for @nwffest that film festival is one of our favorites and so glad it is now in March for Women’s Month! Happy St. Patrick’s Day 🍀

Luck is one of those things people talk about like it’s magic, but psychology has a more interesting take: believing in luck can actually change confidence, motivation, and decision-making.

A few fun findings:

🍀 Near-misses can keep people motivated even when they lose
🍀 Superstitions often get stronger when life feels uncertain

So whether it’s your lucky ring, your game-day ritual, or your green St. Paddy’s Day outfit those beliefs are shaping behavior! When I go thrifting I don’t get a cart until I have done a lap bc there is a whole lore around the cart being bad luck for finding treasures.
