Join me for one of the most breathtaking moments of my wildlife journey this year. A pod of pilot whales swimming around the underneath of a boat I was on whilst the underwater viewing windows were open, just me in the bottom of a boat and the whales including mum and calf.

The most magical moment 💙 ✨ 🐋 taken from @fancy2fantasy

What a thing to stumble on in the woods....home of a funnel weaver spider 🕸️🕷️

The UK has a few types of funnel weavers but this most likely belongs to a labyrinth spider since it was well hidden and off the beaten track deep in the woods. House spiders can also weave funnel webs as can tube weaver spiders.

Happy Halloween 🎃👻

Lots of people are scared of spiders but honestly I think they're pretty cool. Pound for pound their web is stronger than steel which is pretty amazing 🕸️

Spotted this guy in La Palma where I've just got back from, such a beautiful island 🏝️

There's a funny story to go with these images....

I have been to Kielder on several occasions in my life to look at the stars and it's ALWAYS been cloudy. At times even accompanied by blizzards and torrential rain but....I have always seen an abundance of red squirrels....

So I went to Kielder to look for red squirrels and didn't see a single one but....it was a clear night so I thought it was finally my chance to see the stars and it was! But....

I remembered my tripod but forgot the base plate that attaches it to the camera so I had to use the car as my tripod. And I forgot my remote control. And also forgot I can do delayed shutter release in the event of forgetting my remote (thank you Meno brain).

Anyway this is my first time trying astrophotography and it was amazing seeing the stars and the milky way for the first time so I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them ✨ ✨ ✨
