Happy autumnal equinox!
We're slowly moving into the winter....

Time for inner reflection and celebrations as shamhain coming up. We will travel to Mexico to celebrate Dia de los muertos with @bandafemenil_vientoflorido in Mitla.

“Mitla” is a hispanization of the Nahuatl name “Mictlán.” This is the name the Aztecs gave the old pre-Hispanic city before the Spanish arrived and means “land of the dead.” It is located in the Central Valleys regions of Oaxaca.

We will also play in Mexico City on 25 & 27 October. And as a highlight our own Snowapple festival "Xantolo" in @casasnowapplemx
31st of October. The last one in Mexico City is the 8th of November in Coayacan.

Before we leave we have some things coming up in Amsterdam that are already a bit related to the theme. Expect dragons & fire. And get your questions ready for the tree of Evil & good

Amsterdam dates:
26 september 21:00 @ Maanzin
4 October 16:00 @ de Ceuvel
23 October 17:30 ADE festival

All projects are with Nevula and each location offers different special guests. Maanzin had 31 special guests :-) (and some have a few less)

Much love by @shesnowapple

Two new Snowapple Remixes out TODAY!

Return to Utopia! Revisit Snowapple’s My Body and She Ella as reimagined by producer @alessandro_balde ✨

Snowapple met Baldessari when he made orchestral arrangements for our Utopia concert in @teatroscdmx in Mexico City last October.

Baldessari, producer @zlaya.loud and @shesnowapple made these remixes through a process of close, long-term collaboration, going through different versions until the perfect balance was found ⚖️

My Body (Alessandro Baldessari Remix) and She Ella (Alessandro Baldessari Remix) will be the final look back on the last couple years of Cyborg Art Pop that Snowapple developed, before we head back into the studio to reinvent our sound once more 💛 by @shesnowapple

Art by the people, for the people ❤️

What does that actually mean? For Lau (and Snowapple), it’s about connection, collaboration, and creating something together.

Our Snowapple Portraits series gives a little glimpse into the ideas behind the collective (and there’s more to come..) 👀

💛 Utopia Track by Track 💛

Made of Gold starts as a classic romantic song: someone fantasizing about an unknown woman, projecting their desires onto a mysterious figure they barely know 🌼

As the song unfolds, that fantasy gradually shifts. She transforms into an almost robotic being whose purpose is to fulfil every wish and fantasy.

By the end of the song, each singer believe that she is uniquely made for them. But the irony is that she is made for everyone 👯‍♀️

🎥 You can also watch the live video of our performance of Made of Gold at Paradiso on our YouTube channel.

On my way to the Cinema for the screening of 'Azart - Come Make Art'.

I met August the captain of the Azart, the ship of fools, when I was singing at the tip of a crane which you can see in the 2nd picture.

It's a ship that sailed the world for 33 years bringing spectacle and enchantment to any port that was smart enough to open their gates (or in some cases the ship just miraculously showed up).

The ship now made its way up to the Ecuadorian beach and continues its journey as a theater.

So proud that the movie made it into Dutch cinemas.

Snowapple also briefly appears. And the song Cumbia de Las Locas is also inspired by this fools energy....
