It’s ok not to be perfect 🫶🏼

We put too much pressure on ourselves.

Kids remember how you made them feel not if you were always perfect, always had it all together, or if every little detail was just right.

They will remember how you helped them navigate through life. I want my kids to remember how I was always there for them no matter what 💓

It worked out better!

I had a gut feeling for a long time NC was our place and it truly is our happy place. ☀️

I’ve made the move and been through all of the steps and all of the emotions. It is possible for everything to fall into place even when it seems impossible. I’d love to be your guide if you’re considering a move I’ve been there, done that 🫶🏼

Our house is almost always full.

Loud. Lived in (with a side of OCD cleanliness 😅). Full of laughter. Full of teenagers.

And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Sometimes people forget that teenagers are still kids.

They need a place where they feel safe, welcome, and like they belong.

Because that’s where communication happens.

Not from forcing conversations but from creating a home they actually want to be in.

The best conversations are rarely the planned ones (*read that again). They’re the kitchen chats, the random stories, the car rides, and the moments when they’re just hanging out.

When teenagers feel comfortable, they talk.

And that’s often how we learn what’s really going on in their lives.

When they’re little, they’re with you almost every minute of the day. Then one day friends become everything.

So when they still choose to come here and bring their friends with them…

I don’t see noise, chaos or extra mouths to feed.

I see moments I know won’t last forever.

One day this house will be quiet.

Until then, I’ll buy the extra snacks, embrace the chaos, welcome them into my home, listen to them because they are amazing humans and I’ll soak up every minute.

Nobody tells us about this phase of parenting. It’s the slow letting go 🥹
