It’s a great feeling when you finally break free from a tough period in your life. As I sat in this tree last night, I experienced a very powerful moment. I realized I was finally reaching my potential, and after a very hard last 2 years with the divorce and then the knee, living in a camper for 5 months. I just said this is what I fought so hard for. My kids are healthy, got a good job, and some of the best people around me for the first time in a long time. I just said thank you God, I don’t deserve it but I wont ever take any of it for granted again…..and I felt like that without even seeing a single deer in the field last night…..🏹🐺🦉🤙🏻 #lonewolfcustomgear #arrowsanonymous #asiogear #shieldoutdoors #keephammering by @shewter_letts

Close to 3hrs spent this weekend just walking to spots. My Maverick was down all this weekend, I’m so glad I took that recovery from knee surgery super seriously. My legs didn’t let me down. It’s great to be fit in the gym or on the trails, but when it feeds my hunts and gets me to the tree, that’s the shit that gets me back in the gym on a Sunday to maintain a high level of fitness with my knee, it needs to stay in motion. A visit to farmer Jeff’s is all we needed today, it’s been a tradition since they were both babies. Just apple picking and pumpkins with a few twists along the way. First time as single dad and they sure made it easy on their dad, so much fun watching them….Life’s getting a little bit better everyday, we work a little harder each week, we appreciate the simpler little things more these days, and we stick with each other no matter what….I always say my kids are my superpower… by @shewter_letts

If you’ve been watching my journey back from the knee injury over the last 8 months this clip is for you…

Because they never gave up on me …..
they were with their daddy every step of the way these last 8 months…

I couldn’t imagine any other to way to cross that finish line then with them right by my side…..both of my children have Autism, they get to see the world through different lenses…….after everything we went through together they’ve never looked at their daddy with anything but love, warm bubbly hearts, and those beautiful smiles that melt me every time. Although I didn’t win the race on that mountain today…..I completely left that mountain feeling like for the first time I was winning at life. Win at life screw the race… by @shewter_letts
