“Slow Down” OUT NOW

At first I wrote this from a place of lack, being overrun with self-defeating narratives about myself such as:
“I’m running out of time”
“I’m too old”
“What if they think I’m a failure?”
“What if no one will remember me when I die?”

The ego-driven insecure voice inside me, coming from a place of scarcity and fear, trying to take root and prevent me from living my life with presence. I asked myself to slow down… just slow down, take it in, accept the journey as it is with all its warts and strange turns, and find joy in uniqueness and pace of my own path. This kinda became a mantra that found its way into the song, and is still an exercise for me in my day to day life, just trying slow this dam thing down and enjoy it while it lasts in this form. Maybe some of you connect with this. If so, this song is for you 🙏

I am genuinely so excited to share this song with you all. It’s the first step in a bigger effort to share more regularly, to participate in the outer world instead of being so isolated, to trust my inner voice again as an artist, and to just feel the simply joy of completing a creative work and release it into the world with no expectations.

A note on feeling stuck and the process of beginning again:

I am learning to fall with courage and grace.
I am learning to rise through diligence and discipline.
I am learning to deconstruct old habits.
I am learning to embrace only what I can control.
I am learning to take life less seriously.
To receive the gifts I once overlooked.
To give with no expectation of return.
To have faith.
To navigate the inner world.

I’ve just emerged from a long season of stuckness—
a kind of personal winter.
I was listening more deeply than ever before.
I became more aware of my self-sabotage.
I allowed myself to feel the pain I had long avoided,
in an attempt to transform.

I return now—not from the same place I left,
but from a truer one.
I’ve shed many layers.
I am closer to the self,
and to the Source,
channeling music as a form of self-exploration.
My voice, my words, my song—
this is all I can give,
to myself, and to you.

I invite you on this journey with me,
once again,
one song at a time.
