Earlier this month we said goodbye to our little girl, Izzie. Today she would have turned 18. She brought us so much love and joy. We miss her hard but couldn’t have asked for a better dog. I miss my friend. @jengshields

That’s a wrap on the 2026 CBC! Philadelphia was a delight.

After a few days judging @worldbeercup and then the @brewersassoc conference, it’s an exhausting week, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I haven’t been this energized and excited for craft beer in a while! So many hugs and high fives and stellar vibes with friends new and old. So many faces not pictured but it was great to see you all. @underbergamerica also #notpictured 😉 taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @shieldsy35

A great visit to Ireland with @jengshields and my folks (@jshields50). We saw some amazing places, had some amazing experiences, made some animal friends and had a few pints. taken in Ireland by @shieldsy35

What a fun project! Finally completed the @lego “Endurance”. I’ve always been captivated by Shackelton’s Antarctic explorations and 3k+ bricks later I have his ship. taken in Pleasant Ridge by @shieldsy35

Happy 17 to our Izzie. She is indeed the goodest girl. Jen and I sure hit the jackpot when we found our fluffy little pup. Some pics from the last year or so. taken in Pleasant Ridge by @shieldsy35

As we wrap up this year, I’m excited to share that I’m joining the hops team @kalsec. I’m staying in Cincy and managing sales for the US and Canada. Last week, I had a great time onboarding and meeting the team in Kalamazoo. Can’t wait to dive into all the great hop products and share more about Kalsec. taken in Kalsec Inc. by @shieldsy35

It has been an amazing decade @rhingeist, but I'm moving on to new adventures next week. As I reflect on my time as a part of this special place I keep coming back to the people. So many good times and great friends. Rhinegeist and all of you will forever hold a place in my heart.

Such an amazing time in Peru! 🇵🇪
Finally getting to posting some pictures from my fantastic trip down to participate in the @copalatamcervezas as a beer judge and presenter. (First time having a seminar translated 😬). I drank some excellent beers from South America and made some truly amazing friends! We even took over @oktoberfest.pe. A huge thank you to @silviadetomas for organizing everything. It was a true honor. Hope to see everyone again soon! taken in Lima, Capital De Perú by @shieldsy35
