For those whom are not familiar with me, I’m a professional driving instructor with a background in high-performance coaching, engineering test driving, and vehicle development. I’ve coached drivers of all skill levels, helping them build confidence, precision, and control behind the wheel at the Porsche experience center LA.

My experience spans a wide range of vehicles and drivetrains—front-, rear-, and all-wheel drive, as well as front-, mid-, and rear-engine platforms. I’ve also contributed to vehicle testing and evaluation for Tesla, Rivian, and AMG, giving me firsthand insight into modern performance systems, EV torque delivery, and chassis dynamics at the limit.

My focus is on making complex vehicle dynamics easy to understand and apply. My teaching is built around anticipation over reaction, smoothness over aggression, and understanding over memorization—helping drivers stay calm, balanced, and ahead of the car in any environment.

Round 7 of 2026 @socal86cup at Buttonwillow The Circuit CW! My first time at The Circuit was last year during a thunderstorm ⛈️ Driving the racetrack in heavy rain is one of my most memorable experiences. It also happened to be my very first 86cup event as well! This time around it was the exact opposite, sunny & 100 degrees in October ☀️ 🥵

There was dual event happening with @outrun.timeattack I thought I wasn’t participating but later found out that we signed up by default and the competition was included. Not thinking much of it, I drove anyway and somehow landed 2nd in class lol and placed 3rd in 86cup time trails.

With all that said, it was a successful weekend. I did my best to adapt, had a blast, and it’s always a good time hanging out with other equally delusional drivers wanting to drive circles while sweating in the desert 🏜️

Round 7 of 2026 @socal86cup at Buttonwillow The Circuit! Another hot summer day in October 💀 My first time driving The Circuit was last year during a thunderstorm ⛈️ Probably one of the most exhilarating track days I’ve experienced. This time was dry and hot 🥵 It was a special occasion as there was a dual competition including Out Run time attack including 86cup time trials. I podiumed in each, 🥈 in Out Run, 🥉 in 86cup. It was a great time with my fellow track rats.

Is the 987 the best Cayman?

This is among the few mid engine, naturally aspirated, mechanical feeling sports cars left in the used market for a reasonable market price. Mid ship cars offer a unique driving experience that is still attainable today.

Learning to track drive in a car like the Miata offers many benefits to driver development. I personally believe that every driver should experience what it has to offer; light weight, short wheel base, low power, soft suspension.

Round 6 of 2026 @socal86cup at Buttonwillow CCW 1A! Picking back up after summer break, starting off with a podium finish taking 2nd! My challenges were learning on fresh VR2’s by @maxxistires , running the rare CCW direction, and in the 1A configuration which is even less common. Many off track adventures each session, including myself putting 2 wheels off session 1 😂 There was a lot dirt on track, combined with heat, made for some inconsistent grip in some corners. I discovered that these tires have a much more rigid side wall than the previous VR1 tire. I probably could’ve ran a much lower tire pressure, however there was a lot to take away with hot tire psi in the high 30’s. Nonetheless, I had a successful track day while spending it with friends ✌🏽

Back from summer break! Round 6 of 2026 @socal86cup at Buttonwillow! Fresh @maxxistires , CCW, 1A configuration. This was a steep learning curve but I was up to the challenge of learning the tire, different course, and different direction. I only put 2 tires off on the new turn 🤣 I have plenty of footage to review and to reflect on, but overall a podium finish is still a plus (unless not being first, is being last lol)
