My biggest takeaway from Cannes Lions:

Less URL. More IRL. (s/o @pinterest)

The creator economy is no longer a side conversation. It is a real business category.

Creators are becoming companies.
Audiences are becoming distribution.
Community is becoming enterprise value.

my best conversations happened in villas, on beaches, after panels, at dinners, in coffee shops, and everywhere in between while trying not to melt in the South of France heat.

The best partnerships are not just “post this.”

They are “let’s build this together.”

That is why Shifter(s) exists.

We do not need more random access, more guest lists, or more noise.

We need better rooms, better relationships, better matching, and a clearer system for what happens after the introduction.

We’re bringing Shifters to @culturecon in New York!

From the beginning, Shifter(s) has been about more than the events we produce. It’s about building a network of people who are creating, leading, building, and moving culture forward, then creating meaningful access for that community.

For everyone who has shown up in our rooms, built with us, and grown with us, this is what we want the Shifter(s) network to become. Not just access to our events, but access to incredible rooms, experiences, and communities around the world.

Shout out to @imaniimani and the entire @culturecon team. We love collaborating with founders and entrepreneurs who are intentional about community and are building platforms that genuinely impact the creative world for the better.

Cannes Film Festival 26’.

Really grateful to have moderated “The Power (S)hift” alongside some incredibly thoughtful creatives and buIlders. S/o to Vic, Edgar, and Brendan for such a real conversation around storytelling, ownership, community, and what it actually takes to build something that resonates globally.

Big s/o @amy13baker and @therealwinstonbaker for creating the platform and space for conversations like this to happen.

Biggest takeaway for me:

Authentic stories win.

The stories rooted in truth, perspective, and real human experience are the ones people actually connect to and honestly, some of the best projects in the world only exist because somebody had the courage to put the idea out there and take the shot before everything was figured out.

That part matters.

We’re back. Cannes Film Festival. Main stage.

On Friday, May 15th, Shifter(s) Series presents The Power (S)hift at the Palais.

A conversation around where the creator economy is going and who is building real leverage inside of it.

Ownership is shifting. The model is changing. Creators are no longer just talent, they are becoming the infrastructure.

This panel brings together artists, founders, and filmmakers who have lived the full cycle of building, owning, and scaling IP on their own terms, and understand the role community plays in turning ideas into real businesses.

Different paths. Same through line. Building, owning, and scaling IP in real time.

Moderated by Tyler Sabino.

CAA and TPG just created a $250M company to buy creator businesses.

Not represent them. Not advise them. Buy them.

This is the clearest signal yet that the creator economy is maturing. The most valuable creators are no longer just talent. They are becoming companies. And the people who used to take commissions are now trying to take ownership.

Putting the work and the purpose before the profit.
Focusing on the craft.
