The week before Zayne's birthday deco fan event in LA, I was reviewing the outfit options with the event organizers. 3 days before I flew out I said "So... what if I did someing insane 👁👄👁"

First, a huge thank you to @mephies.109 for inviting me, team mephie for the attentive on site support, and all the Zayne fans in socal who came to the event, I had so so so much fun and everyone was incredibly welcoming. I hope we can meet again, soon 😌❤️

That said, in my defense this was largely a stash busting build. The dark gray twill was leftover from Wriothesley, the light gray and white was from Sylus, and the bandages are all Blade's. Even the weathering paint was from Sylus.

The top pattern was modified from the cosmode danshifuku jumpsuit pattern so I didn't have to think that hard. I just added the standing collar, pockets, and flap, and cut the front panels in half to add in the diagonal front seams. I lined just the sleeves in the contrasting light gray so I could roll them up as I wanted (as opposed to cuffs which just sit wherever they're sewn). After swf Sylus it was refreshing to be able to look at an outfit and instantly know how to put it together lol

The patches were all digitized in Hatch and sewn out onto whatever random fabric I had around.

There's a fine line between Sexy Vampire Boyfriend and Grandma's Drapes, I'll let you decide how I did.

I debated posting Sylus since he's not quite done but I did wear him! And the number of friends who messaged saying "oh my god I forgot you sew" was ahhhhh... I need to fix that.
There were some job related issues that meant I had a solid week less to work on him than I had budgeted for, but the anyc contest is always rewarding to being in regardless so I'm glad I just yolo'd it in the end. I'll have him properly done soon.

On the bright side, after 40-something hours of trial by fire in Hatch embroidery, I'm pretty decent at embroidery digitizing now?? Please look forward to me abusing that capability thoroughly.

New Lungs Speedrun let's go.

I purchased the og Winter Night's Lazzo Pantalone in 2022 and never got around to wearing him because Dottore got me by the throat before he arrived. I recently pulled out the costume and styled the wig with the intention of putting it on other people to match my Dottore...

...but joke's on me: this is my new skin I'm never taking him off. The fake-Russian mobwife vibes were too powerful. I handed out fake cigarettes with my @ written on them instead of coscards. (The rest went in my mouth) All the cute Columbinas going "YOU!!". The bit about him chainsmoking So Much Dottore had to replace his lungs. Doomed toxic old man yaoi. "Goodbye, Feofan" "Goodbye, Zandik". Purple and black? Help, I'm in love.

Suffice to say after cce I'll be sewing (purple Wriothesley) his full outfit, pray for me.

My personal nightmare is clawing his way out of my closet, so please don't speak to suspicious blue haired men anytime soon.

The Doctor was such an ordeal to make and wear that I put him away without finishing him properly and didn't touch him for 2 years. But he's been working hard (being gay and dying) in game so I should try to match that effort (be gay and die), right?

So hopefully I'll have something fun to show you soon. 💉

A week before the Hoyofair concert, I realized I shouldn't wear Sunday because my halo doesn't move/detach and I'm not gonna be That Guy at a concert 😔

... so of course rather than wear one of my 15 other hoyo wigs I messaged @hewwomeipan "Hey wanna Phaidei the wigs are on Amazon" and she said "damn ok" and we styled them in a night. The Kremnoan language doesn't have words for "proper planning", "avoiding unnecessary stress", or "not being a dumbass" 😤

The concert itself was both more fun and more traumatic than I expected, they really went hard on the "Phainon suffers" button, huh? But the theater was full of several of my favorite people and Chogakusei sang the bathtub song. So I won.

It's both my birthday and hsr anniversary month so I'm letting myself skip the... 16... other things I still need to edit and go directly to my dear darling Bladie. Plus with his SP drip I'm about to become truly insufferable.

Wearing him was a last minute decision for cpac but the weather forecast said "Awful" which means Perfect For Blade 🥰 RIP his pants on those wet stairs, but he should've been wearing black ones anyway...

I can't watch the birthday kindled event without hearing Ring Ding Dong anymore. I will not be providing context, but this will be on the exam.

Rafayel is my beloved fish # 2 (though I recounted, he's technically fish # 5 but who's counting?) so I was planning to enjoy all the local birthday events casually... And then ended up working the events all weekend lol. Anything for him, I guess.
