Today marks two years since I lost my first love and the sweetest most amazing mama to cancer. I have grown so much since you passed. It hurts that you weren’t there to see me turn 18, graduate high school, or finish my first year at the college you went to and I know it’s going to hurt not having you around for all the moments ahead, but if I had to pick between a life with a different mom who’d be with me until she was 90 or having you, even for a short time, I’d choose you in a heartbeat.

I miss your soft hugs. I miss binge watching the vampire diaries with you. I miss going to concerts with you. I miss decorating our Christmas tree together every year just you and me. I miss your smell and I miss your voice so much. I could go on and on. There was never a dull moment with you. You and your love are unparalleled.

Even though you’re not here in body, your love, spirit, and the memories we shared remain with me everyday. You raised me by yourself with so much love and I am so grateful and blessed that I got to have you as my mama. I miss you forever and I love you so so much❤️ by @shima.true
