UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi — side quest complete with an amazing people 🇦🇪🔥 @ufc by @shimmyjitsu
Promoted to purple belt tonight by @brianmartingallacher 🟣 Another small step in this journey. What I love most about this sport is that it's one endless problem-solving exercise. It's taught me a lot about staying calm under pressure, showing up consistently, and embracing the graft. Big thanks to the coaching team for teaching me how to suck a little less. @brianmartingallacher @jamesgallachr @stevenmclay @jimmyjitsu1 @weronikarotbjj On to the next. by @shimmyjitsu

Managed to get silver today at the Empire nogi under 73.5kg bracket. Stacked division with some slick opposition. Looking forward to getting back to the gym and reaching a new level. Big thanks to my coaches for sharing their knowledge and to my teammates for the countless sparring sessions. We go again soon! by @shimmyjitsu
High-quality training tonight with judo black belt @caldwell.66 guy is an animal 🦍 Thank you brother for pushing me out of my comfort zone 💪🦍 by @shimmyjitsu
Competed yesterday at Grappling Industries. Won my first two matches pretty comfortably, but then lost focus for a moment, made a mistake and got caught. The most important thing is that the rust is gone. After being less active for the past few years, it feels great to be back and already see new areas to improve. That’s what I love about jiu-jitsu - the element of constant learning. Now it’s time to enjoy the Easter break with family, then back on the mats on Monday to fix what I screwed. Big thanks to my coaches for the great cornering @brianmartingallacher @weronikarotbjj Photography by @remiwhitephotography On to the next one 💪 by @shimmyjitsu

Started this martial arts journey a few years back, not realising how much it would shape the way I live. Now holding my little man, I hope he grows up learning the same — to never give up, to stay calm under pressure, and to find strength in the tough moments. #fatherandson by @shimmyjitsu
