I started the year thinking I was doing just great. Then I stepped into the fire—burnt, lost shape, and transformed into a whole new masterpiece.

Abbas’ masterpiece.

ShimNom, I am very, very proud of you. Not of all your decisions, but of who those decisions shaped you to become over time.

Today, I am reminded of why "real gold fears no fire" became my mantra for the year. I came out just fine.

This year opened my eyes to one thing; I am like a closed book with so many chapters and plot twists. The further I go, the deeper the plot gets.

I have never seen a book such as this. It is literally the finest masterpiece I have ever seen. And daily, as I flip the pages, I am reminded of the authenticity and creativity that God put into writing this story.

My story is irreplicable.

There is so much greatness inside of me, and I can’t wait to see it all.

Dear ShimNom,

I want to start by saying how proud I am of you.
I’m grateful for eleven months filled with bittersweet experiences.

This year, you laughed, cried, won, thrived… and most importantly, you evolved.
You pushed your boundaries, stepped out of your comfort zone, and put yourself out there. You grew in so many ways, and for that, I am thankful to Abba.

This year stretched you in ways you didn’t expect. I saw you almost give up on so many things, but I’m grateful for good
friends and family who stayed close and held you down.

I know you are not yet where you want to be, but you are on the path and that is enough for me.

It’s the last month of the year, and I’m giving a special shout-out to Abba, my family, and my friends. I know I wasn’t always easy to hold up, but you still stayed. Thank you.

And… I’m particularly excited because I turn a new year in a few weeks. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know in whose hands my future lies, and I’m eager to see what waits ahead.
