ProfiFoto New Talent Award exhibition at Fotogipfel Oberstdorf.

Shin Ono (USA/Japan) presents a particularly personal form of photographic adventure with *Miki and Yoko*. Over decades, he has documented his parents' lives in striking black-and-white portraits, making time, intimacy, and transience immediately tangible.
In the context of the photography summit, it becomes clear: adventure in photography today doesn't necessarily mean traveling to remote locations. It can also lie in grappling with identity, memory, the body, or social realities. 先日、谷保『かけこみ亭』ライブにも来ていただき舞台でMCもしていただいたNY在住の写真家『小野紳』さん @shin_ono が、この度国際的な写真賞を受賞されたということで、その授賞式に遊びに行ってきました。

授賞式の際、主催や審査員の方々が随時口にしていたのは、

「良い写真とは何か？」

という部分。

カメラやレンズという『機械』『道具』を使いながらのできること、技術はその前提ではありますが、その根本の部分、

その写真家さんが何をどのように撮るのか？　
そしてそれをどのように現像するのか？

その背景にある写真家さんの普段の生活や思想、つまりは自由の使い方、生き方、最もそれらを問うた上で写真を審査する、そういった姿勢に好感を持てましたし、主催者側がそういった姿勢だからこそ紳さんもこの賞に応募したのかな、という印象があります。

その上で、今回の審査結果と自分個人としての主観的な見方、どんな写真が好きでどんなものにグッとくるのか、はまた別の話ですが、

同会場で行われていた展示会もとても良く❣️シングルを10枚新しいジャケットでリリースする関係上、最近特にスマホの限界と戦いながら写真について色々と考えていましたので、まさに写真について再び熟考できる良い機会となりました。

あと、会場には初自作のドライの花束『宮本武蔵』を紳さんに持っていきました🐯🐲が、こちらについては要勉強かと思います笑笑　頑張ります！

朝です。アザミの丘の、小さな紫陽花が咲いていました。タンポポの黄色も鮮やかに、春と夏を渡る彩りがそこに。

明日は、ここで写真撮影をしてくださった小野紳さん @shin_ono の展示会に行けたらいいなー。
