At SKillz, we’ve always believed that dancers are more than performers. They are storytellers, cultural carriers and creators of new possibilities.

For ODUMA: Element 🔥 , we’re excited to have @jeromerwanklyons , @shinemuni and @tresor_martin as part of the movement artists shaping this experience.

Together with;
@highpriestofsonicshadows
@mukisa_katokeith
@d.glare
@authenticvoicesafrica

they enter the world of ODUMA through movement from the stillness of The Shrine, into the provocation of The Fire Place, and eventually into the collective energy of The Crossover.

This is movement as ritual.
Movement as memory.
Movement as energy.

And this time, we don’t want you watching from the outside.

We want you inside the experience.

🔥 12 SEPTEMBER
📍 The Village, Kampala
🕖 Gates open: 7PM
⚡ ODUMA Set: 10PM–1AM
🎟️ TAX: FREE

The fire place is ignited in collaboration with @villagekla , @livetracesproducing and @skillzdancefest

We live in a society comfortable littering our environment with plastics
and polyurethane and fumes to the detriment of our health. All the while we live
in a time where we are quick or willing to litter our cultural identity with
practices from other cultures as foreshadowed in our arts to the detriment of
our own identity as Ugandan's and Africans. by @shinemuni
