When Rachel came to me, she was months away from her wedding and wanted to feel confident in her dress.

She’d been using medication to help with weight loss, but she knew she didn’t want to rely on it forever.

She was still working full-time, planning her wedding, going on her hen do, eating out and navigating busy weekends.

So we built a plan tailored exactly to her life and her goals.

And the results speak for themselves. She lost weight, built her glutes, got stronger and, most importantly, walked away knowing how to maintain her results without relying on medication.

The wedding was the goal, but the confidence, habits and knowledge she gained, those are hers to keep🤍

If you’re a 2027 bride and want to lose fat, build your shape and feel incredible in your wedding dress without the stress of figuring it all out yourself…

Six months ago, I set myself a goal: to complete a 52K trail run. What I didn’t realise was just how much I’d gain along the way, beyond simply crossing that finish line. ❤️

The last six months have been about so much more than running. Alongside running three days a week, I set myself another goal: to become stronger, build confidence in the gym and push myself outside my comfort zone.

And I genuinely couldn’t have done it without @gem.inthegym at @shining.coaching

From creating well-designed training plans around my goals, helping me improve my form and technique in the gym, to supporting me in building a healthier relationship with food and looking after my mental wellbeing, Gemma has supported me every step of the way.

It’s not just about the miles, the weights lifted or the races completed. It’s about the confidence I’ve gained, the mindset I’ve developed and the belief in myself that has grown throughout this journey.

Today we had our six-month check-in, taking time to reflect on everything I’ve achieved, how far I’ve come and all the little wins along the way. It really made me appreciate just how much has changed.

Gemma, I honestly can’t thank you enough for your guidance, encouragement, knowledge and support. You’ve helped me achieve a goal that once felt huge, but you’ve also helped me become stronger, both physically and mentally. I’ll always be grateful for that.

Here’s to setting goals that scare us a little, trusting the process and discovering what we’re capable of. 🏃‍♀️💪❤️

52K completed. Confidence built. Stronger in every sense.

Thank you, Gemma! 🔥 #fitness #personaltrainer #training

Calorie tracking doesn’t have to be complicated ⚖️

The scales went UP after a meal out or holiday? 👀⚖️

Before you panic, remember that scale weight doesn’t always reflect fat loss!

Increased carbs, salt, water retention, digestion and even travelling can all cause temporary fluctuations that may mask your progress.

These are just two conversations I’ve had with clients recently. One reached her target weight, while another came back from holiday 0.5kg lighter! 🥹❤️

THIS is why coaching is so much more than just a meal plan and workouts.

It’s about understanding your body, building confidence in your progress and learning how to navigate real-life situations without guilt or unnecessary restriction.

Because you CAN enjoy meals out, holidays and celebrations while working towards your goals! 🫶🏼

I used to think growing your glutes meant finding the right exercises and doing as many of them as possible 🫠

Booty band circuits in the garden (circa 2019 lol)..

Bodyweight squats x50 reps..

Random YouTube workouts …

Changing exercises constantly because I always saw new hacks on social media…

Been there and done that ahaha

Eventually I got a PT, and that was the first time someone actually explained why I was doing what I was doing

and my learning didn’t stop there,
over the next few years I worked with different coaches, studied biomechanics and nutrition, and did A LOT of trial and error on myself, before i startes coaching others

I realised that glute growth doesn’t need to be complicated

You don’t need the “perfect” exercise

You need to understand how to structure your training, create progression, recover properly and actually give your body what it needs to grow

And I wish I had known that when I started….

So I put everything I wish I had back then into a FREE Glute Growth Blueprint 🍑

It’s designed to take all the confusing information and simplify it into something you can ACTUALLY use
