I close my eyes and the memories sift through.Some of them blurry,hard to remember,but others feel like I’m fighting demons in my head.The sadness settles in a room.I try to fight it, but it’s a battleI can’t win on my own.The tears flow and my Father says “Tell me your pain.”He’s gentle and patient, waiting for me to let go. “Forgive because you’ve been forgiven.”My prayer seems feeble and simple, but as I take a deep breath the weight seems to lift.
