Oh hey 👋 it’s time for a reintro👇

There have been some new faces around here - we’re now a community of 15K to be exact! 🥰

First of all hi, I’m Rebecca! I share content about-
👠the best shopping
💖 chasing your dreams
🌆 things to do in NYC
🐶 being a dog mom
✈️ plus some travel and home

Some things you may not know about me:

✨ I’m a native New Yorker! My family lived in the city before moving to Long Island where I grew up

✨ I moved to the UWS after college which might seem like an unlikely choice but I fell in love with the area and eventually moved back after a few years more downtown

✨ I have a tendency to end up in random situations one of which included me having to break into the window of my own apartment

✨ My dream was to be a magazine editor and I actually made it happen without any connections - down to the Devil Wears Prada details. I’ve worked at every major publisher in NYC & have run my own teams

✨ When I was first starting out I wondered why a magazine would publish my work and now I freelance write for titles I never dreamed of

✨ I’ve interviewed countless celebs from Hilary Duff to Shay Mitchell and hope to find a way back this way someday

✨ My apartment makeovers have gone viral and I love a DIY project

✨I got my current apartment by sneaking into the open house after the real estate agent told me they were booked

✨ I asked for a puppy every day growing up but Gemma is my first ever dog!

✨ I’ve always loved shopping & experimenting with style. I’ve been told I started picking out my own outfits before I could talk 🤣

✨ I want to travel everywhere possible! Some of the unique places I’ve been include Taiwan, the Galapagos, and Israel but Europe is also a favorite of mine

Thanks for being here 🫶 taken in New York, New York by @shinnersss

This was SO unique 👇

I’ve visited old towns all around Europe, but walking on the centuries-old walls of Dubrovnik was a first 😍

Everyone told me to walk the walls when I said I was visiting, and I get the hype now. This was such a beautiful way to see the Old Town, with terracotta rooftops on one side and the Adriatic Sea on the other 🌊

The full route is about 1.2 miles, so give yourself time to take in the views (and stop for approximately a million photos 📸)

💡 Dubrovnik hack: Get the 1-day Dubrovnik Pass! At €40, it’s the same price as the adult walls ticket during the main season, but also includes entry to museums and galleries

Save this for your Croatia itinerary 🇭🇷 & follow @shinnersss for more!

One day in Dubrovnik, Croatia 👇✨

After spending 3 weeks this summer traveling Europe, including a 12-night cruise, Croatia was the last of 7 countries on my itinerary & it definitely lived up to the hype ✈️

If you only have one day in Dubrovnik, here’s what I’d recommend:

🏰 Walk the city walls – the views over the terracotta rooftops & Adriatic Sea are unreal
🛍️ Shop local – wander Old Town for little shops, handmade ceramics, & souvenirs
🎬 Explore Game of Thrones filming locations – including the Walk of Shame steps (even if, like me, you’ve never watched!)
🥐 Try local pastries – we stopped at Holy Burek for a flaky, cheesy snack

& of course, leave some time to get a little lost in the side streets 😍

Save this Dubrovnik itinerary for your Croatia trip & be sure to follow @shinnersss for more travel & shopping recommendations ✨

It’s finally back! And better than ever 👇

The LoveShackFancy sample sale is back in NYC this week with up to 80% off and so many cute, girly finds 🎀

As someone who’s been going to this sale for years, I thought the inventory was especially good this time—with so many pieces I was tempted to bring home myself 👀

There was a lot of variety, from dresses and skirts to blazers and sweats. And especially a lot of occasion wear if you’re already thinking about holiday party outfits ✨

It’s still a higher price point for a sample sale, so expect some splurges even with the discounts!

📍261 Fifth Ave from 10/6–10/11

You’ll want to save this spot 👇

My favorite vacation finds are the ones I just stumble upon 👀

While exploring Kotor’s Old Town, I spotted this little jewelry shop with necklaces and bracelets covering the walls from floor to ceiling ✨

And even cooler? The woman working there was sitting beading jewelry by hand right in front of me 😮 everything felt carefully made and curated!

My idea of fun 🤭 would you try this? 👇

Kotor is known for its iconic cable car, which you can take up Mount Lovćen 🚠 but what I wasn’t expecting was rides at the top, including this mountain coaster with even more insane views of the Bay of Kotor 🇲🇪

The ride lasts around 3–5 minutes, and you control your own speed—so you can decide how adventurous you’re feeling 😏

This might be their best drop yet 👇#AbercrombiePartner

Abercrombie’s NYC stores are known for carrying exclusive New York merch, and I happened to walk by the same day they quietly dropped new styles 😍

This striped mockneck is PERFECT for fall! The best part? It’s a super soft cotton blend that’s not itchy 🙌 Plus, I spotted new NYC sweatshirts in the men’s section downstairs 🚕

📍 This is the SoHo store, but the Fifth Avenue location usually has a good selection of NYC exclusives too!

My EXACT camera settings 👇

I sat in the 400s section for Harry Styles at MSG and was still able to get crispy concert videos like these 🪩

📲 Taken on my iPhone 17 Pro

I always keep my video settings the same: 4K at 60 fps

BUT I have a few tricks for getting footage like this:

📸 Use Apple’s preset zoom settings - they tend to be clearer than manually zooming in yourself

🪩 Focus on what looks best instead of getting as close as possible - I generally don’t go past 6x zoom, and most of these were taken at 4x (the wider shots are 2x)

👉 Tap on the artist to focus as they move around the stage

Save these camera tips whether you’re going to Harry’s NYC residency or a different concert 🎶 & follow @shinnersss for more 🕺

I think I found a flea market near Rome that I liked even more than Porta Portese 👇

Rome’s famous market may have endless options, but it can also be overwhelming (especially on a hot day) 👀

I stumbled upon the Monday market in Anguillara Sabazia, a quiet town on Lake Bracciano. It was smaller, easier to browse, and still had those €5 finds European flea markets are known for 🛍️

If Lake Bracciano is on your itinerary, definitely plan your visit for a Monday so you can do both 👛
