💗 There will be a vigil and procession to the river June 28, with attendees encouraged to meet outside HERE Arts Center at 7:30 PM. Please wear colorful clothes, sparkles and glitter like they would have wanted. Bring a candle. Bring an instrument.

Folks are also welcome to drop by HERE Arts during operating hours from 6/29 through 7/28 to add to the altar to Zaza.

There will be forthcoming memorial services in their hometown of Portland, Oregon and in New York. by @shinnysarah

HERE’S WHAT U MISSED INTERNET 💋 thank you thank you thank you to everyone who made this show possible. @arsnovanyc , @themakersensemble, everyone that donated their dollars, time, knowledge, or literal objects like these freakin amazing vintage trunks or communion wafer edibles (shoutout @saymammamia). To all of you that saw a rehearsal or were spiritually with us throughout this whole process. Thank you to this incredible team of artists who put in HERCULEAN efforts to make this show the hottest, most epic and alive, post-apocalyptic crusade-party we couldn’t have even imagined. I am so proud of what we made, and am so glad to be reminded of how much we are capable of when we are able to come together and collaborate as a whole team. let’s keep the party going yeah??💖🪩🕺

A Gen Z nun and a priest contemplate the new meaning of life as they journey through the remnants of America’s past: cancel culture, mukbangs, and Hollywood. HELL HATH TURNED OVER. F*CK is a satire of the American Western Social Media experiment, false escapism, and the threat of Tik Tok dances.

Just Announced | 2026 Barbara Whitman Award

April 22, 2025– New York, NY) Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), today announced the recipient and four finalists for the 2026 Barbara Whitman Award.

Established by theatrical producer Barbara Whitman in 2021, this award recognizes a director who has developed a clear and distinctive artistic voice and demonstrated unique vision in their theatrical work. This award is meant to heighten visibility for a director & their work in the field as well as support the work of the director with an unrestricted award of $10,000. Finalists receive a $1,000 unrestricted award.

Thank you Stages, thank you Houston, thank you play, thank you everyone. There are not enough words to describe how incredible this experience was, with all of the love, pain, laughter, thought, care, joy, and honesty that went into it, from each and every collaborator and artist on the team. This time around I wanted to embrace the mess and maximalism of ourselves and the world around us, while also challenging ourselves to stay vigilant and pay attention to the beauty and strength lying underneath, whether it be in the details of design, or in the everburning desires and dreams of these characters. I think sometimes Asian American-ness feels too vast and varied to be its own culture and community, but through this process and experience, we found the in-betweens, lived in the questions, and carved out our own space. So…more of this ✨👌🏽
