One day in August during a 12 hour drive I had an idea for an end of the year goal: to run 34 miles.

It sounded crazy at first, but the more I thought about it the more I really wanted to give it a shot. To really push myself beyond anything I’ve ever done before.

I didn’t even know about this event at the time, just wanted to do the miles. Once I found out @theexchangerunningcollective was putting this on, it was clear that it had to happen.

My legs are shot lol but we went out there and gave it max effort. Shit was fun as hell.

Good long run this morning. First one since the longest run in December ✌🏻
Planning on slowly upping the mileage over the next few months. Nothing on the calendar yet for this year but I’m getting that itch to sign up for something lol

Morning 5k

Haven’t posted in a while with touring ramping back up, but we’re still out here ✌🏻

I’ve been keeping the miles low as I’m bringing strength training back into my routine. Still running around 3-4 times per week

4 days out from Longest Run ⚡️

Been looking forward to this for months and it’s hard to believe It’s finally here. I’ve only really mentioned it a few times on here but @austinags and I will be doing 34 miles. Super stoked to get out there Saturday morning and give it 100%.

7 easy miles ⚡️

Rough week. barely any runs. Had a 5 mile schedule Thursday and only did 3 because it was cold, wet and rainy. My legs were tired and I just wasn’t feeling it. Made excuses and just went home. It happens.

Making up for it this weekend without pushing or being too hard on myself.

20 mile long run ⚡️

Not really my ideal way to spend a Sunday but I wasn’t going to have time to hit a run this long before the 13th. Legs were feeling a little tired still from earlier this week but tbh with all the gels and snacks I brought, it made it pretty smooth.

Thanksgiving half morning 🦃

Ran this race a few years ago and finished with a 2hr and 5 min time. When I made plans to stay with my parents this year I decided to do it again as it was a good way to get some miles in for fun.

Ended up with an all time half PR 🙂‍↕️

Had a lot of fun even tho it was cold as hell and my hands bout went numb afterwards.
