Couldn’t ask for a better way to end the year and start a new one. Checking off a bucket list fish and going to a bucket list location is what we do it for and what keeps us sending it south.
@bum.fishing and I got a lot more to come from this trip so stay tuned for that.

Finally got the opportunity to fish the skiff this last week and it was a grind. Lot of fish around with even more boats made it difficult. Started off the week with an afternoon send in horrible conditions, just my dad and I and not a single boat around. Lucked into a bite and somehow landed it. The rest of the week was good, great conditions but insane boat traffic made it tricky. Stoked to finally put a triple digit fish on the skiff and to do it all with my dad made this past week one that won’t be forgotten.

When I was a kid, my dad and I lost what would’ve been our first proper WSB at color, when it wrapped a bunch of kelp and broke off.

For 10 years we’ve talked about that day wondering if we’d ever get a chance at redemption.

And a couple weeks back we did, and we made it count.
The pictures and videos speak for themselves. This will be one of the days that I’ll look back at for years to come. Just my dad and I, in a zone far away from home, getting the redemption we’ve sought after for so long.

Part 2 of the trip was a little different. Warmer water and some bigger fish. Along with one of the coolest days of fishing I’ve ever been a part of.

BIG MAMMA

Somehow managed to land this fish a couple weeks back on 30lb leader. Went to a new spot way off the beaten path and the boys were rewarded with some insane moments. Super fortunate to be able to experience these places with a couple homies and amazing weather.

SoCal Big Eye ✔️

El Niño brought the exotics and we’ve been checking em off the list. Never thought I would be a part of landing a true SoCal Bigeye but last week that came true. Add a wahoo to boot and it was an El Niño day that won’t be forgotten.

Words cannot describe the day that we had yesterday with the boys @crudosportfishing, full 360 of 10lb-250lb yellowfin from 12 till the sun went down. Hard to get em to stick, but we got em to bite the kite, popper, bait and troll. Stoked to land my first cow after getting tooled for an hour and a half.
