PT 2 - A little reminder that there is a real person behind every business page. 🤍

Over the years, I’ve learned that no matter what industry you’re in, not everyone will have the same opinion of you, and that’s okay. We all come from different experiences, expectations, and perspectives. That’s simply part of owning a business and putting yourself out there.

What I do know is that I wake up every day grateful for the opportunity to do something I love. I get to meet incredible people, witness special moments, and build relationships with clients who have supported me through so many seasons of life.
Like every business owner, I’m constantly learning, growing, and striving to be better. I make mistakes, I celebrate wins, and I continue showing up with a good heart and the best intentions.
I’m incredibly proud of how far god has brought me & what’s he’s allowed me to build , I love what I do & what I’ve built because it has been built with genuine care, hard work, and a lot of faith along the way.
To everyone who has booked a session, shared my work, recommended my business, attended an event, or simply followed along on this journey, thank you. Your support means more than you know.

PT 1 - Aloha 🤍 For those who are new here, my name is Shyla, and I’m the owner and photographer behind Shiphotographyy. A question I get asked often is where the name Shiphotographyy came from, and the answer is one of the most meaningful parts of my journey. The “Shi” comes from my son, Shiloh, and the rest comes from photography, my greatest passion. When I created this business, I wanted it to represent the two things that changed my life forever: becoming a mother and becoming a photographer. Shiphotographyy is more than just a business name to me, it’s my son’s name brought to life through my passion, a daily reminder of my why, and the reason I continue to push myself to grow.
Behind the camera, I’m a full-time stay-at-home mom. My days are filled with all the beautiful chaos that comes with motherhood, and while many people see the finished galleries and content online, they don’t always see the late nights spent editing after my son is asleep, answering emails during nap time, or pouring every spare moment into building my business. Being able to raise my son while pursuing a career that I genuinely love is something I’m incredibly grateful for. Outside of photography, I also model on the side, which has given me a completely different perspective when it comes to working with clients. I understand what it feels like to be in front of the camera, to feel nervous, unsure, or vulnerable, and because of that, I strive to create an experience where people feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful exactly as they are. One thing I’m really passionate about is creating opportunities for others, which is why I love hosting content days. They give creatives, models, photographers, and small business owners a chance to come together, create, collaborate, network, and grow in a way that’s both fun and accessible. Building a supportive community has always been important to me, and seeing people make connections, gain confidence, and elevate their brands makes it all worth it. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a full-time stay-at-home mom and model, balancing motherhood while chasing my dreams and building the life I envision for my son and myself. by @shiphotographyy
