I am truly living the dream. I’ve prayed many times that God would guide me in fatherhood and give me the wisdom, discernment, and energy to prepare my kids for the path ahead. One thing that’s sobering to realize is that time ticks and it ticks…it’ll keep ticking and before your eyes they’ve gone from newborn to kindergarten and kindergarten to fourth grade. If you don’t force yourself to stop and take the time to reflect and prepare, time will surely pass you right on by and you’ll miss your moments. The opportunities to teach and be intentional in the small seemingly mundane routines truly make a world of difference. Kids are like piggy banks. You invest a little bit into them every day and by the time they leave your home that investment is worth a fortune both to you and to them. Remember to put that daily nickel in the jar…they won’t remember every single isolated moment, but they’ll remember the collection of efforts you made to be intentional in their lives. taken in Burnet County by @shipleyjaxon
