moment vs. the photos 🤍⬇️
This was taken yesterday when the city was hazy and quiet on the roof. Sometimes it doesn’t even feel like Chicago it’s so quiet on the roof. And it was the perfect time for a dance.
My favorite things from last night:
• eating dinner on the roof while watching the sunset with my bf ♥️
• eating a poblano for the first time
• the quietness of the roof
• watching the 3 Night-blooming cereus’s bloom for the evening

she’s finally here! the insanely oversized 🦞 sweater i dreamed of (read through the pics of you want the whole story 🫶🏼😘)

when i was practicing color work in July of 2024 hoping to finish this by winter 2025 🤡

started working with wool yarn i bought from England (waited a whole entire month for it to get to me) only to be allergic and have to start all over. Not even a mask helped.

Got new yarn and washed it all in the washing machine and had to roll it all up 😂

finally was able to start ❤️

was moving SO FAST

I really thought this was going to be done by January 2025

here you can see all the notes on the pattern

I thought it was looking pretty

Felt like it was coming along nicely

Started to do the backside

There was SO MUCH to weave in

started to sew it together

Was obsessed with trying it on

Got the neck finished

Here you can see I started the arm. It was so big it ran down to my knees and I had to undo the entire arm. Had no idea what to do so I didn’t touch the project until April of 1026

I went and took a lesson and the teacher did all the math to adjust the arm so I could actually finish this haha so literally thank you Sarah

Made Ari try it on - it is literally made for a giant. We’d laugh about how it was perfect for Hagrid lol

I forgot how to pick up stitches on the arm so I took one more lesson to get started in September 2026

And here is the final masterpiece!!!!! So proud and can’t wait to wear it all winter 🦞💛 by @shirab23
