Refuge is getting better by the month, but there’s still a way to go.

Note to self (29th birthday edition👽):

Every change you choose to go through is an upgrade.

Every upgrade you maintain is who you are.

Observation from an emotional distance is a must not a nice-to-have.

Let love and joy come closer. taken in Broadway, New York by @shirazatzmon

It’s more than a dance.
It’s a ritual of connection. To ourselves, to each other.

This may sound super cheesy if you’ve never tried it. But if you rave, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

It’s not partying. Partying is getting wasted and emptied out. Raving is something else. It’s an experience that should heal and energize you.

I don’t know anywhere else where gender, race, religion, nationality, age, or sexual orientation matter literally zero amount.

The dancefloor is everybody’s shelter (ideally, if culture is respected). It’s a school for self reliance and shared responsibility.

I believe with all my heart that if more people raved the world would be a better and safer place with people who feel liberated and more loving.

Hope to see you on the dancefloor🤍🐦‍⬛ taken in New York, New York by @shirazatzmon
