If I could just come on stage and cry and people would point and laugh…that’d be great

“Things I Am Totally, Completely, And Utterly Ashamed Of”
Premiered it’s one night debut at the AMT Theater last week and I’ve now somewhat gathered my thoughts (and my shame) for this show.
Thank you to everyone who came and to those who donated - I can’t express my gratitude enough.
Thank you to RJ Theatre for hosting us a special event and part of The Circle Theatre Festival.
My little piece of shame “The Shame Happened When” has finally taken itself off my rage full notes and onto a stage with a bed full of my innocence.
I once thought I wrote this piece for the 37 year old man who inspired it, seeking out a way to let him know he hurt me.
I know now - I wrote it for girls who turned into women in the blink of a touch on the knee, and for women who’d been shriveled back into girlhood by a most penetrative remark by someone they thought they admired. Someone they thought would keep them safe.
This is for the ones who truly admire. Who see the good in someone who didn’t see it in them.
Let you decide - who should be ashamed, and once you do - let yourselves forgive; first yourselves, and then him.
And let yourselves and others heal too.
And let yourselves not dim your light for fear of it ever shining on the wrong person again, but let it shine brighter for the trust that it’ll be strong enough to carry you through.
Let the shame overwhelm, drown, bring back to life, drown again and finally carry you back to shore. You’ll come out new. You’ll come out free.

ONE NIGHT ONLY

“What’s the scariest thing you could say right now? What’s buried so deep that even thinking about it makes your body panic?
I promise if I find the courage to tell you, I’ll be freed.
The truth is: to tell you is to tell myself.
Give me this gift, then give it to yourself.”

An evening of original works exploring what we hide and why.
Curated by Shir Ringer and Ron Weiss.

My dreams of playing a white man on a real NYC stage have come true and I am forever grateful to everyone involved. Thank you to my talented friends on the stage with me, and the incredible folks behind the scenes.

A day trip upstate with dad, Sept 2025 by @shirringer

A poem I wrote for inconvenient, invisible, too big, not big enough, heartbreaking, gut wrenching, single teared, puffy cheeked, snot filled, long distanced; Grief.
I hope this poem hugs you among the sea of strangers who don’t want to, or may want to but don’t know how.
I hope we hold this weight together. With my whole being - I hope. by @shirringer

Wore these overalls today and remembered these gems from that weekend in September with the one and only - MY DAD by @shirringer

My off broadway debut at @thecircletheatrefestival with @rjtheatre and @theactorlaunchpad is here : “Things I Am Totally, Completely, And Utterly Ashamed Of.”
Co-produced and Co-curated by @theronweiss and I, is a one time experience to confront your shame, with a room full of people just as scared, brave, and human as you are.
We created this show because we’re tired of letting shame run our lives. I’m exhausted of being ashamed of my stomach. My need for validation - especially from men. My god awful doom scrolling habit. We fuck up, we’re good friends, we’re ghosting douchbags, we give the warmest hugs, we’re the bad guys, we know exactly what to say at the right time, we’re terrible parents, we’re fucking good at to do lists, we try really hard, we barely try at all.
***To make this night possible, we need your support. Every donation and share will help us bring this event to life, paying our artists, and funding essential production recourses. The GoFundMe link is on my bio with some more info on our show and everything you’ll help produce with us.***

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
