Viet Nam.. No one described it better than Anthony Bourdain.
He considered Vietnam his favorite place on earth, calling his first trip there “life-changing” and crediting the country’s landscape, culture, and cuisine with capturing his heart.
After some trips there, I can say that I share the same feeling about VietNam with him.

Saigon, September 29 - 6 October 2026

Saigon or now known as Ho Chi Minh City has recently been crowned the best streetfood city in the world, placing it in front of heavyweight like Kuala Lumpur or Tokyo. The city offers varieties of grilled meat dishes, soup noodle dishes and everything in between. And they are all amazing. I always say, “When in Saigon, if you’re not sure where your next meal is, just wander around and try random pavement stalls or shop. They never disappoint.” And they haven’t yet.

Hoi An, April 22 2026

A nice afternoon in arguably one of the most charming town in Central Vietnam. Don’t get me wrong, it can be crowded and touristy at times But it’s still worth a traveling to. As the daylight faded, the town came alive with colorful lanterns, contrasting on the yellow walls. Sitting by the river at sunset is still one of my favorite experiences in this town.

Imperial City of Hue, April 21 2026

Hue is a former Imperial Capital of Viet Nam under the Nguyen Dynasty. The imperial palace inside the forbidden city is an architechtural excellence, combining Viet, Chinese and French influence. Another fascinating site is the mausoleum of Emperor Khai Dinh where they used million pieces of broken vases to decorate the interior room.
