“Ciò che succede non è tanto dovuto all’iniziativa dei pochi che operano, quanto all’indifferenza, all’assenteismo dei molti.
Ciò che avviene, avviene perché la massa degli uomini abdica alla sua volontà, lascia fare, lascia aggruppare i nodi che poi solo la spada potrà tagliare.
Lascia promulgare leggi che poi solo la rivolta farà abrogare. Lascia salire al potere gli uomini che poi solo un ammutinamento potrà rovesciare.
Poche mani, non sorvegliate da nessun controllo, tessono la tela della vita collettiva, e la massa ignora, perché non se ne preoccupa.

Ma i fatti che hanno maturato vengono a sfociare, e allora sembra sia la fatalità a travolgere tutto e tutti, chi ha voluto e chi non ha voluto, chi sapeva e chi non sapeva, chi era stato attivo e chi indifferente.

I refuse to believe that this is the world we want to live in, and I believe that most people who are awake to what’s happening do not want this, and that they want change, so in this coming new year we may not have all the answers, but it all starts with asking questions, and living your life in good conscience, and knowing how you treat your family, how you treat your neighbors and friends, where you spend your money, how you raise your voice, where you spend your energy and knowing that we may not be able to change everything now, but you are doing everything you can to make this world a world that is awake, a world that is humane, and a world that is better for all of us. “🙏

April 25th belongs to us. But liberation belongs to everyone and we won’t celebrate ours while others are still fighting for theirs.
From Cuba to Sudan, from PaIestine to every corner of the world where people are being crushed under the weight of power, we see you. We have not forgotten you. We will not forget you. This is bigger than one flag, one border, one cause. This is about a world that has decided some lives are worth grieving and others are worth nothing. And we reject that. With every part of us, we reject that.
Resistance didn’t die with our grandparents. It lives in the streets.
It lives in the voices that refuse to be swallowed by fear.
It lives in the people who show up, again and again, even when it feels like nothing will ever change.
We march for the prisoners who should be free. We march for the children who should still be alive. We march for every people that has been told their pain doesn’t matter.
Because it does. It always has.
History is not something happening somewhere else, to someone else, at some other time. It is here. It is now. It is us.
And we owe it to every single one of them to keep going.

Non esistono parole per descrivere cosa si prova a reggere un sudario del genere. Venticinque metri di tela che sembravano non finire mai, eppure non bastavano.
Non bastano mai, quando cerchi di contenere l’incontenibile.
Su quel telo, scritti a mano da centinaia di volontari con le dita tremanti, ci sono i loro nomi. Uno per uno. 18.457 bambini uccisi a Gaza. Con accanto l’età. Ed è li che ti si ferma il respiro.
Perché trovi scritto “3 mesi”. “11 giorni”. “1 giorno di vita”. Un giorno. Neanche il tempo di imparare com’è fatto il viso di tua madre.
Mentre camminavamo non riuscivo a fare altro che stringere quel telo e chiedermi come sia stato possibile che il mondo abbia assistito a tutto questo restando fermo. Che questi numeri siano cresciuti giorno dopo giorno, settimana dopo settimana, mese dopo mese, in modo così costante da sembrare quasi normale.
Normale. È questo quello che mi spaventa di più. Che siamo arrivati a 18.457 bambini identificati, senza che il mondo si fermasse davvero. Senza che qualcuno alzasse una mano e dicesse basta, e venisse ascoltato.
Non si riesce a capacitarsene. Non ci si dovrebbe mai capacitare.
Perché non sono numeri. Sono nomi. @carnia_per_la_pace li ha scritti uno per uno, proprio perché nessuno li dimenticasse.

They talk about freedom, but they only take innocent lives.They talk about peace and democracy but what they bring is only destruction and misery.
I look at my land and I think of what they have done across the world. After erasing Palestinians homeland in front of everyone’s eyes, I know that when they threaten to take us “back to the Stone Age”, they actually mean it.
This is not war. There is no strategy. This is pure terrorism.
Every bomb they drop, every neighborhood they turn into rubble shows their blindness, their failure, their disregard for life. Including culture and heritage, things they don’t even understand, because they have none.
But the more they try to destroy us, the more they’re losing themselves in the chaos they created. And it’s becoming pretty clear now, that it’ll be them who fall under the weight of their own cruelty.

Nothing begins with slogans or empty words. It begins the moment pain becomes impossible to ignore, when what felt distant crashes into your own life, and you realize you cannot stand aside anymore. From there it spreads through voices, through streets, across borders, until strangers stand together as one. By the time the world notices, it’s already too late, because something that real, once awakened, cannot be undone.

The year changed, but the violence didn’t end and accountability never came. I step into this new year carrying anger and grief, not because I choose to, but because they are the inevitable result of what I’ve seen, of what I’ve witnessed. I think of the faces, the stories, the suffering that was ignored, and the injustices that remain unpunished. Remembering, feeling, and refusing to look away is part of how I stay human. If the world hasn’t healed yet, neither have I. And some days, that awareness feels heavy, but it also reminds me that moving forward doesn’t mean forgetting, it means staying present, awake, and unwilling to accept what should never have been allowed.

“The old world is dying, the new world struggles to be born, and now is the time of monsters”
Gramsci wasn’t talking about the past. He was talking about us. About now.
We’re watching a world that twist its own rules, not to protect people, but to protect their profit and their power. Capitalism, in its most brutal form, is rewriting laws, stripping away rights, and deciding who is allowed freedom, dignity, or even the right to live. You can see this shift in so many places, but nowhere more clearly than in Palestine. The violence, the dispossession, the constant dehumanization aren’t random events. They’re part of a larger pattern, signs of systems desperate to hold on to power even as they fall apart. When the old order senses its own weakness, it tightens its grip. It becomes harsher, more ruthless, more willing to ignore human suffering.
These are the “monsters” Gramsci spoke of. Policies and leaders who use fear as a weapon, institutions that hide injustice behind the excuse of “security” or “order”.
But his quote is also a reminder that this darkness signals a transition. What we are witnessing is not just destruction. It’s a demand for transformation. All over the world, from movements for justice to voices standing with Palestine and Sudan, people refuse to accept the old logic of power. The monsters show us the crisis. But they also show us how urgently a new world is needed.
And that’s why this moment matters so much. Because what comes next depends on us. On our courage, on our choices, and on the future we want to hand to those who will come after us, to our children.
It’s up to us to make sure they inherit something better than what we are living now.

Eravamo un milione.
Un milione di persone in piazza a Roma. Un numero che parla da solo.
Che dice che la solidarietà non è morta. Che l’umanità esiste ed è viva, anche quando chi ci governa la tradisce. Eravamo lì per dire al popolo palestinese che non è solo. Per gridare tutti insieme, che la loro sofferenza ci riguarda e che non accetteremo più il silenzio. Né quello dei nostri governi, né quello di chi finge che sia tutto troppo “complesso” per schierarsi.
Le istituzioni tacciono, i media censurano o minimizzano, così è stato il popolo a parlare. Ha parlato con i propri corpi, con la propria dignità. E sappiamo bene come andrà a finire: proveranno a ridurre tutto a qualche scontro isolato, a spegnere il significato profondo di ciò che è successo. Ma la verità è che un milione di persone hanno dimostrato solidarietà concreta, reale, collettiva. E questa solidarietà fa paura. Fa paura a chi governa, perché mostra che la gente si sta svegliando. Che siamo più lucidi, più umani, più uniti di quanto avessero previsto. E allora se loro continueranno a tacere e distorcere, saremo noi a raccontare. Saremo noi a far girare le immagini, le parole, la verità. Perché quello che è successo oggi non è stata solo una manifestazione. È stato un pezzo di storia. E non abbiamo nessuna intenzione di farcelo cancellare.

“BLOCCHIAMO TUTTO”

Quello che è successo oggi a Roma, e in tante altre città, è qualcosa che difficilmente dimenticheremo.
Non solo per i blocchi, le strade ferme e i cortei. Ma per quello che si è creato nell’aria: un senso di profonda comprensione, quasi silenziosa. Gli automobilisti, fermi per ore, non erano arrabbiati.
Molti ci guardavano con rispetto.
Come se sapessero, senza bisogno di spiegazioni, che stavamo facendo la cosa giusta.
Che certe volte fermarsi è l’unico modo per andare avanti. Persone comuni, bloccate come tutti, che sentivano che quella causa riguardava anche loro. E che a modo loro si univano a noi. Un’Italia che non si vede spesso, ma che oggi era lì. Reale, presente, umana.
Accomunata da una stanchezza che non è solo fisica, ma morale. La stanchezza di chi non ce la fa più a far finta di niente. Di chi guarda quello che sta succedendo e si rifiuta di restare in silenzio. Di chi non si sente rappresentato da un governo che ci ha reso tutti complici di genocidio.
È stato un momento storico. Non solo per la portata dello sciopero, ma per la consapevolezza che abbiamo toccato con mano: non siamo soli. Siamo tantissimi. E siamo determinati.
