My month October, Finally 🤎🍂

Posting at night for intentional low engagement because this is really me just for me romanticizing me 💟

It’s kinda hard to believe this is my last year in my 20s but I just know this is about to be my
BEST YEAR in my 20s so idc I’m celebrating & preparing early✨🥂

Every year, I gotta make it a habit to reflect on my past year ✍🏾

This year, I decided to make it romantic & make myself a guide to the changes I’m intentionally making to prepare for my purposeful 30. Even though I’m sharing it, it’s real personal. I can’t wait to look back at this entering 30 and have even more to celebrate 💘

I’ve started living by “I can’t be in the same place next year as I was this year” 📌 and although I’m VERY hard on myself and expected more out of me this year, I bounced back from last year’s drama, regulated my nervous system, put joy back in my daily routine & fell in love with my childhood dreams all over again!
I can honestly say I’m on track & I am so proud of that 👏🏾

So to future me, looking at this post a year or two from now, I’m proud of you for carrying on. For breaking generational curses and making it look sexxyyy 😌

For keeping your heart light & free of repression and holding on to the past, grudges, and anything else out of your control. For keeping your feet walking away from outgrown spaces and expectations, and towards that powerful purpose that used to scare your own damn self! For finally getting that mental health in check and it no longer being an obstacle but serving as a resource. For finally living the life God intended for you to live, shine, inspire and help others✨

A moment for the Fall HAIR 🙂‍↕️❤️‍🔥

I took a lil’ break from being a hairstylist & other people’s hair to focus on me buttttttt I’d be lying if I said I knew how to stay away…. I don’t!

I feel my best when my hair is done up & I miss doing the dang thang on people’s heads!

So.

I’ll be opening my styling books back soon but ONLY for services that make me feel masterful & like the artiste I aim to be everyday 🎨 No more boring boxes!

You should be here 🥀💔

Before I go back into promo mode; celebrating black joy & life…. My heart has been really heavy today mourning 16 year old Juliana Nzita as she will finally be laid to rest 😪💐

Did I know her personally? No. I didn’t have to know her to care & be heartbroken…

But I feel like I knew her... All I keep thinking is “she literally could’ve been my little cousin”….

Lineage from the same land🇨🇩….
Our Parents share the same story of coming here to seek better life…. Yet Juliana’s story ended the way most of us could never imagine happening to us or the people we love….

I’m so sorry to the Nzita / Umbe family…. Juliana deserved to live a long life. Learning that she was full of love despite everything that she dealt with tears me up but strengthens me in a weird way…

This tragedy refuses to sit still in my spirit… I’ve learned too much about the evils of Amerikkka that we as immigrants don’t collectively pay attention to & it must stop!

It’s why I don’t GAF about celebrating a country turning 250 when the black children on this land are barely making it to 18….

Although, I DO NOT agree that Juliana h.ng herself & pray that the truth comes to light, all I can do is share her story as her body spends its last moments on the Earth that should’ve been so much better to her.
