Been MIA from social media for the most part for a little while. I often don’t share much about this side but mental health breaks are so very necessary and there’s no shame in taking one when you need it, especially as a creative. Feelings of inadequacy or being overwhelmed by the struggle happens and taking a step back to refocus and realign yourself is sometimes the right call. It’s taken a long time for me to learn that taking care of and being gentle with myself is okay, too. Lots has been happening behind the the scenes and I’ve been working hard on getting a few things lined up, alongside lots of changes, that I’m excited to share soon. Expect action to resume once again ‘round these parts in the very near future. Until then enjoy this seasonally appropriate still life I set up for some of my students this month. Wishing everyone a happy Spook Season since it’s still my favorite time of year, even if I had to opt out of society for the last few months 🎃

2018 was a lot of silent personal growth, and a pretty big year of isolation and sorting some major stuff out. It feels like so much happened this year, but also nothing at all. At least I looked nice and made some pretty art, and know I have quite a bit in 2019 to really look forward to. Here’s to more art, more love, and more milkshakes in the next calendar year 😽💕
