Two years ago my friend @camartin0419 said I want to run @bostonmarathon . 🩵 💛 🦄 I said I know someone. You need to meet my bestie @aprilshroff . They ran all of the miles. For two years I’ve watched Christy do all of the things to earn a spot at Boston. Today she slayed. I can not be prouder. You can do hard things. Today you ran with the most elite. It’s time for Oklahoma to do some hold my beer 🍺 stuff and make it 80° tomorrow…. ☀️ This is the most winner we’ve had in like five years combined so now would be a really cool time to stop 🛑 it. We don’t do winter here, we do 🌪️ alley here. Just sayin. Someone please call 📞 up North and tell them to come get their cold 🥶 , we are done 🍴 Also, if they can pick up their snow ❄️ it’s been on the ground for a week. The roads, from Midtown to Sand Springs, at least, aren’t bad. The highways are pretty OK. Thank you mother nature for snow not ice. Thank you to the powers that be that keep us safe and the roads cleared. Ps. It’s beautiful outside. This picture has nothing to do with this post. I’m just liking my coat. Since I slept for about 30 minutes and can’t go back to sleep…the routine of the last four days or so). . I was looking up insomnia… a good pastime at some point in not sleeping. Instagram decided to check on my mental health. Thanks Insta. So now insta & I realize sleep is important to mental health. These humans. Once upon a time during Covid I was training for Ironman and met my tribe. I used to do dumb things alone. But riding in Osage county I met my people one day. I cant imagine life with out them. Not all of us are pictured. It alll ebbs and flows with people’s lives but I have a squad. I sign up with them to do dumb things and talk them Into dumb things. It’s the most beautiful thing I know. SALT Yoga Tulsa followed by dinner Polo Grill talking about new bad ideas. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Tulsa’s love for music was front and center tonight for @mumfordandsons. Everyone stood, sang, clapped, bounced, and danced for the entire show. It was beautiful. Mid show? Stage B for the win. 6,570 days. One day at a time.Gratitude doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel. This year reminded me we only get today—no guarantees, no yesterdays to lean on.I’ve lost friends to this disease… watched others fight for their lives… and seen people with decades of sobriety lose it all. That’s the hardest part. Especially long time friends….But I’ve also seen miracles—people finding hope again, light returning to their eyes, and lives rebuilt by God’s grace and the rooms.The most beautiful part of recovery, to me, isn’t mine—it’s watching others recover. What a wild ride. I’m so grateful I didn’t miss it. “Nothing gold can stay.” — Robert FrostMr. Frost, I have to disagree.A long time ago, a teenage girl named @s.e.hinton_official wrote a book that changed the world — The Outsiders. Generation after generation has fallen in love with the book, the movie, and now the musical. Every week at the @outsidershousemuseum we meet people of all ages from all over the world who share what this story means to them. That’s true gold. ✨Tonight was opening night of the @outsidersmusical in Tulsa — where it all began. Afterwords, they talked about how our city has embraced them for years, how this is a Tulsa story. It was everything good and right about our community and the book. When Susie stood up, the crowd rose with her — a standing ovation thanking her for creating all of this.
