This is the Heart Nebula, IC 1805. It hangs out some 7500 light years away from earth and is located in the Perseus Arm of the Universe in the constellation Cassiopeia. Right next to it is the Soul Nebula (my next project 😅), together they are the Heart & Soul Duo.
Taking an imagine like this takes a lotttt of time and thinking to prepare, acquire, process & troubleshoot. This is an accumulation of 6 nights of data and in total a stack of 125 frames.

(G) Ha - 27 x 420s - 3 hr. 9 min
(B) Oiii - 65 x 480s - 8 hr. 50 min.

NGC 6888, the Crescent Nebula or as I like to call it, the Brain Nebula.
This nebula was made by its bright central Wolf-Rayet star through the process of ejecting massive stellar winds that make up the red and blue nebulosity that you see here. As the star is near its life cycle, it will eventually die & and create a supernova explosion, completely changing its appearance to us human viewers. To travel from left to right of the nebula would take you 25,000 years. To travel to it from Earth it would take you 5,000 years. That’s if you were traveling at the speed of light 🤪

i hope by looking at this you can imagine your own little fantasy wonderland (:

i’ve been working on this painting for a verrrry long time & this one didn’t really have a concept as i went piece by piece experimenting with different methods & textures as i learned them. all i can say is that i absolutely love painting in these lush greens and yellows, even though it takes forever to create😅 taken in Princeton, New Jersey by @sholo._

i want to share this painting that i’ve been working on for the last few months called:

“Seeds of Light”

by painting this my intention is to express how even when in darkness, when you choose to pour into yourself or another, you set a cycle in motion, a cycle of growth 🍃🦋

i hope you enjoy this as much as i had fun painting it! i learned a lot experimenting with this and can’t wait to learn more & continue on my painting journey

a new piece i’ve been working on! i’m painting this with the intent of nudging the viewer into the mindset of being present in the moment, the deepest calm ; which i hope you feel by the time i’m done!
