When I create, I listen to a variety of musical genres. The sounds I hear inspire mental images and trigger an emotional response. Which determines the rhythm of color and form in my work. Sometimes these images inspire poetic thoughts. This is a glimpse of my process.

I was going back and forth about the song for this one... it was between Milkshake and Bossy. Let me know in the poll which one you would have picked. #illustration #animation #blackcreator #kelisbossy #musiclover by @shonteyouwill

I had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with @delawareballet for their annual showcase! ✨

For the grand finale performance, “In The Night,” I designed attire for this profoundly talented group of dancers. My goal was to create something that not only accentuated the movement, but visually captured the beauty of Ryan Batchelor’s choreography and the music that guided it. (“Jaguar” by VOLO)

Thank you @britt_kaiserr for inviting me to be part of such a magical moment. 🌙🖤
