Here’s a look at the recent special issue of Blue Rose magazine called “The Art of Twin Peaks”, a passion project that I conceived, curated and art directed. Over a year ago in the midst of so much pandemic uneasiness, I pitched this special issue as a way for me to focus my creative energy in a hopeful way. It became a collection of almost 70 artists of creative disciplines from across the world. Twin Peaks has inspired so much artwork and I really wanted to celebrate that. I photographed the cover art as an homage to the classic Laura Palmer high school portrait with typography inspired by David Carson. Three special fold-out posters were also included in the issue.

The issue includes a foreword by Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost. It also includes both interviews and artwork created by actors from the series. Michael Horse (who played Deputy Hawk) created exclusive indigenous ledger art specifically for the issue, and Charlotte Stewart (who played Betty Briggs) shared an intimate nude self-portrait painting. To top it off, Sheryl Lee (who played the mysterious Laura Palmer) gave us an exclusive interview capturing her thoughts on creativity.

Thanks to all the amazing artists involved. Your creativity inspires me. I’d love to create a similar project to this in the form of an oversized coffee table book in the future. There is still so much beautiful Peaks art that should be collected and celebrated much like this issue. Time will tell!

I can finally reveal a special project that has been years in the making.

Easton Press approached me to art direct and create photographic imagery for their special deluxe edition of The Fountainhead, a compelling and controversial American modern classic. I got to create in the playground of 1940s New York, capturing the complicated characters and moments to be featured throughout the book. Limited to 1,200 hand numbered and artist-signed copies.

I’ll be showing more of the imagery in the next few weeks.
