An evening cruise down the river and right through town. Even though the leaves weren’t quite at their peak yet, having the water completely to ourselves made for a kind of quiet ride. It was nice.

There is certainly a profound peace in watching the water mirror the shoreline and early autumn colours, while scoping such beautiful views of our amazing little town.

Moments like this remind me why we love it here so much, just slowing down, and appreciating the incredible beauty right in our own backyard. taken in Huntsville, Ontario by @shooteverything.ca

Some mornings out here at @muskokahighlands are truly indescribable. There is a profound calmness in the air, mixed with that quiet anticipation as the sunrise begins and the morning fog slowly lifts to reveal the shape of the course.

Holding a distinct and cherished place in the vibrant Muskoka golf landscape, this course and this game mean the absolute world to me and this morning gave me a show. 📸

After another incredible adventure with friends at our annual Harvest festival, a few of us snuck away for a night to decompress at one of my favourite local spots.

Still buzzing from the music and energy, our hearts were completely full as nature gifted us this breathtaking sunset to cap off the weekend. I’m endlessly grateful for these friends who have truly become family—the people with whom we can be completely, unapologetically ourselves.

Every year, our circle grows a little wider, but more importantly, our bonds grow a whole lot deeper. This community brings together people from every walk of life to celebrate pure love and music for a few unforgettable days. Driving home from Port Carling the other night, the sky pulled us over.

There’s a tight stretch of road winding around Lake Rosseau where it’s always a bit awkward to pull off, so I’ve passed this exact view dozens of times, promising myself I’d catch it eventually. Moments like this are a soft reminder of how lucky we are to call Muskoka home.

It has always been about the art of looking — slowing down enough to truly see what’s right in front of us. It turns these moments I see into a personal visual journal, preserving the places that I have been or that moved me in some way or another.

Golden hour over my second home.

@muskokahighlands is truly one of Muskoka’s best kept secrets, a dog-friendly, Scottish Highlands-style golf experience with rolling fairways, beautiful views, and a welcoming feel that keeps you coming back.

The staff and management always make a point of creating a great experience, and this season you can really see the work the grounds crew has been putting in to improve the course from tee to green.

Grateful for this place, the people, the game, and views like this. ⛳️🌅

Spent a few hours down at Dockfest yesterday with some great friends to soak in the atmosphere and watch Daddy Matty (@mattymclachlan) absolutely shredding behind the sled, carving laps around the bay. Of course, I had my camera with me… as if I’d ever leave it behind.

Dockfest has become one of those events that really feels like summer in Huntsville. The shoreline is packed, the boats are everywhere, the water is full of ridiculously talented riders, and the whole bay comes alive. It’s one of those weekends that reminds you how lucky we are to have events like this right here in our own backyard.

I always find myself looking for the moments between the action, the kids reaching out for high fives, the crowds cheering from the docks and boats, the wipeouts, the laughs, and all the little moments that make a day like this memorable. That’s the stuff I love photographing.

A huge thank you to @swsmuskoka, @nydock, and @rotaryhuntsville7010 for putting together another incredible Dockfest. It takes passionate volunteers, dedicated organizations, and a lot of hard work to create something that brings a community together like this. Huntsville is lucky to have people who continue to make these traditions happen year after year.

Grateful for good friends, another afternoon behind the lens, and another reminder of why I love calling this place home.

I’ve said it before, but time and time again I find myself truly appreciating this place.

@muskokahighlands has that traditional Highlands golf feeling right here in Muskoka. Rolling terrain, open views, tricky greens, risk-reward shots, and just enough trouble to keep you honest. It’s a place where you can learn, improve, challenge yourself, and still remember that golf is supposed to be fun.

I don’t know if it’s the people you meet along the way, the dogs running free and enjoying the course, the birdies, the bogeys, or the laughs in between… but there’s something in the air here that keeps me coming back.

If you haven’t played Muskoka Highlands recently, the effort being put into the course is easy to see. The staff have been making improvements all over the property, and it shows in the experience from the first tee to the final putt.

It’s a beautiful course, a welcoming community, and one of those places that reminds you why this game is so special.

Big thanks to the McKay family and the whole Muskoka Highlands crew for continuing to create such a welcoming space for golfers, friends, families, dogs, and anyone who loves a good walk in a beautiful place.
