“as much as the world has an instinct for evil and is a breeding ground for genocide, holocaust, slavery, racism, war, oppression, and injustice, the world has an even greater instinct for goodness, rebirth, mercy, beauty, truth, freedom and love.” - Desmond Tutu

THE GRIMACE OF PERPETUAL AGONY

Perpetual Agony was written by setting an hour long timer and just seeing what happened. The end product was so popular within our demos that it has become the closing track to every Shoot The Messenger show and exists note for note as it did in it’s original draft. by @shootthemessengeron

on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26 four rising forces in modern brutality will descend upon the Forest City:

@shootthemessengeron bring a wealth of experience from past bands, which explains why they’ve grown so fast with less than a year of activity, already sharing the stage with bands like Peacemaker, Filth and Opal in Sky. they blend classic MySpace deathcore (think early Whitechapel) and modern sensibilities, topped off with digusting gutturals. start the night with a sound that will get you loose and moving early on

@nightofthesnake turn heads with their crisp, Mitch Lucker- esque high vocals and seamlessly combine nostalgic melody with vitriolic breakdowns. You’ll immediately be transported back to 2008

@xenoformsband are venturing all the way from Nova Scotia, and show a ton of promise for a band this new. Their lone single “Reflections of a Mirage” mixes off kilter, almost djenty rhythms with an insatiable groove, and a versatile vocal attack is just the icing on the cake.

@bitter_band has been making waves with their EP Slamosaurus Rex, getting the opportunity to share the stage with the titans in AngelMaker for their debut show . they blend chunky, delicious slams with that riff sensibility only Quebecois bands have.

Get hyped and get out to @casalatinaldn next Saturday and discover your new favorite deathcore band by @shootthemessengeron
