Ten years ago, @cypriannag got tired of hearing the same two words every time she said where she was from. People knew the water. Almost nobody knew the country around it. That gap followed her from the University of Miami through graduate school, until she stopped carrying the question and built an answer instead. bēchë, pronounced beachy, founded in 2016, a platform first and a brand second. In the years since, the label has shown at Miami Swim Week, placed in British Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Condé Nast Traveller etc. and activated a residency with Bloomingdale’s through Atlanta Fashion Week. For bēchë’s tenth anniversary, Jackson is publishing the inaugural issue of Letter B as the brand book: twelve voices from across Turks and Caicos, gathered around the same question she’s been asking since she was nineteen. What do we keep of ourselves as we grow? The Letter B can be found at select locations across Turks and Caicos with the digital launch to follow.
