We’re The Broken Spine! Welcome to Philadelphia’s first romance bookstore, proudly woman-owned. Our shop is dedicated to celebrating romance and romantasy, but most importantly the incredible indie authors who grace us with the stories we all fall in love with.

Since opening our doors on March 1st, 2025, we’ve been building a cozy community where readers become friends, local makers are celebrated, and every visit feels like a great big hug.
