Hi friends 🤍 I’m Yuki, and welcome to FridayPup 🐾

FridayPup is my little corner of the internet where I turn beloved pets into art 🥰

I have been a pet portrait artist for almost a decade. I used to work only with physical paintings, but everything changed when I had my son. Painting with a baby was not easy, so I picked up my iPad and started drawing pets digitally. I began posting them on Instagram just for fun… and then I received my very first digital order. Since then, I have drawn over 3500 pets!!

Now that my kids are older, I have started painting physically again and completely fell in love all over again. There is something so special about holding a brush, feeling the texture, and watching a piece come to life on canvas💕

I used to be completely obsessed with realism. I still struggle with perfection sometimes, but lately I have been learning to loosen up and draw more freely, the way I truly see and feel things. If you have been here since the early FridayPup days, you probably noticed how much my style has changed and it will continue to evolve!

So here I am, creating with love for animals and art, making people smile and sometimes cry, one piece at a time 🤍

Everything is finished except the eye highlights. The smallest detail makes the biggest difference💕 Also this is my favorite part of the process🤭

A little behind the scenes of this sweet watercolor portrait🎨

I love slowing down and getting all the little details that make each dog so special. This is one of two portraits I’m painting for a client’s art wall, and it’s been so fun watching this sweet face come together, layer by layer🍂 by @shopfridaypup
